This place was amazing. I felt like I was invited into her home for dinner. It was my first time trying kimchi and they have a few options, there was the cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and cucumber kimchi. There was also a sweet radish dish, and fish cakes and some other side dishes that were all complimentary. All were delicious but my personal favorite was the cucumber. The dish I ordered was bi-bim-bap and came in a stone bowl served on a hot plate so it stayed nice and steamy the whole time. We didn't order any sides so I was pleasantly surprised when she brought us each a spring roll and what I assume was a type of Hawaiian chicken (for lack of better words) and it was all delicious. They also have a soup bar with miso soup and there was fresh mushrooms, green onions, and some seaweed available to add to the soup. There was a wait for the food but I didn't mind as they gave us plenty of options. The lady who served us and took our order was also nice enough to show me how to prepare my food as it comes all stacked in a bowl and she mixed it all together for me at the table. I felt like I was very loved and like she was my own Grandma. I will definitely be going back again and again. Also they have little candies for only ten cents a piece. One of my best ever dining experiences and I really can't say enough nice...
Read moreGreat discovery! Flavor is great, portions are generous, and staff is so kind and attentive it just makes it better. I went on two different days. First time ordered the kimchi-jjigae and kim-bap, didn't disappoint! For being the first time trying both dishes I was pleased with them. The second day I ordered Yook-gae Jang and again, full of flavor, great portions and so comforting. Each entree comes with a side of sweet and sour chicken(3 pieces), an eggroll, a side of potatoes, kimchi, radish kimchi (not sure about the correct name), pickled cucumbers, fish cakes and pickled red cabbage, all of them come in small portions but still great! Words will never make justice to the flavor, it definitely tastes homemade. I almost forgot to mention their miso soup station! Also tasty and you add how much or less ingredients you like in it! Don't forget to taste the barley tea, it was refreshing and light! Definitely better than your regular "iced tea". If you're in the area looking for a good meal, and don't care much about the ambiance not being fancy or such, pay this place a visit, it won't...
Read moreI should start by saying that Korean food is one of my favorites foods and wherever I go If there is a Korean restaurant I must go. Now about Seoul Garden my favorite part was the fact that they make a Tteokbokki less spicy for me, I think that was a plus, if it wasn’t for that I was going to think that the service was not good at all, I got ignored must of the time, when I order I have to pay before I eat, and I guess is okay but kind of limited me if I want to order more.
In must Korean restaurant they constantly ask you if you would like more Banchan (side dishes) but not here, I want to think it was cause they were busy, but at that time I was the only customer at the establishment.
In summary I was disappointed about the service, the restaurant was clean, and they get the 3 stars cause the food was good. I will give them another visits soon, just to see if this was...
