Fen 17 2025 edit. I am downgrading this really bad. The food is abysmal. Most of their hot plates have maybe a spoonful of food that has been there for so long it's dessicated. The food that they actually had enough that there was something I could put in my plate was inedible. The quesadilla tasted off. All the meats were so tough you couldn't even cut them. The pastries/cake/pies were made with some synthetic type of frosting/filling that was disgusting. Also their hotplates seem to have shrunk to only about 1" depth. You can barely find anything to put in your plate. Service is ok. Atmosphere is bleak - benches have ripped upholstery, tables are nicked really bad.
Old review: I love this new buffet in Midwest City. It's very affordable, and has a huge choice. American, Italian, Chinese, sushi, curry, you want it you find it. Lots of healthy choices too, not just deep fried (even if there's a bunch of deep fried - I recommend the green beans with spicy mayo - the mayo is in the batter and they're delicious) Their dessert options are really exceptional, both in variety and in taste. And I mean, exceptional. Try the tiny square cups with custard cream, especially the mango ones. The thing I like the most is the fact that, being on an Atkins diet, I can find a lot of options there. Including sugar free deserts. The only thing that I noticed is pretty much a hit or miss is the steak. About 1 in 4 pieces are grilled correctly, the rest are overdone, dry and tough. Everything else is delicious. They even have a gelato station. The only thing I do not know how it tastes is bread, because of my diet. The place is clean, staff is very nice and professional. It definitely doesn't look like a low cost buffet, and it's an immense difference from the only restaurant we had in Midwest City until now - Golden Corral, where everything looks like it's been there since the 70s, food is so salty you keep needing to drink water for the rest of the day, and there are no healthy choices except...
Read moreI will never eat here again. All of the food was greasy, some of the food tasted old, and there was a piece of hair in my food. After eating there I got extremely sick that night. The outside looks nice while the inside needs a lot of work done. We were set at a table that had scratched writing all over it. It just kind of made me want to turn around but the kids were hungry so we stayed and ate. The chefs pretty much need coaching on how to cook some of the food. The only thing that you will probably enjoy was the pho soup.
UPDATE 12/28/2023: My hubby and I tried to give this place a second chance. Long story short we came there, the food was still greasy, had been sitting there for hours and you can tell. It was food all over the bars. But that wasn't the killer. Decided to just get some Pho Soup.... So I asked one of the workers there if they could get someone to prepare me the soup. The worker that I talked to just walk right back there, did not wash her hands, took a bag of spinach, grab a handful of spinach with her hands (no gloves), put it in a pan, rinsed it off, THEN GRABBED A HANDFUL OF WET SPINACH (STILL NO GLOVES) and put it in a bowl that she was about to prepare for me. She then starts grabbing everything else with her hands. I took my plate that I had in my hand I set it down I told her never mind. Found the supervisor, explain to him what just happened and how terrible the food was, he looked at my husband and I like he was more disgusted at us than what I just told him about one of his employees. He act like he was upset that we told him one of his employees were using her bare hands to prepare food. FYI if you do not want to get food poisoning or whatever else comes with people not washing their hands and preparing a food without gloves I would not recommend eating here at all! You are better off going to Golden...
