This was hands-down, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had at this location, especially disheartening because we were there to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday. From the moment we stepped into Olive Garden in Midwest City, the hostess was cold and awkward and immediately turned to chit chat with her co-worker, made us feel more like a burden than a welcome. We were a bigger group (11 people to be exact), and after putting in our name, we waited quite a while before being seated. Once we sat down, it was over 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to take drink orders. Our servers, Zane H. and Sincere S., seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. Sincere repeatedly reached across the table, even coming close to elbowing several of our group by reaching across the table to hand out food and drinks. One person in our group was given the wrong drink three times and another person who ordered a simple beer had to ask repeatedly for the drink he had ordered. When we finally were given our drinks we were not asked if we wanted appetizers, just straight to “what do you want to eat” so I simply stated “we would like to order some appetizers” at that point she appeared annoyed and again reached over one of group members to grab the kiosk and put them in there and again asked “what we wanted to eat” So we ordered as she did not appear to want to assist our larger group. We got our appetizers and dinner meals at the same time. When the checks came, it only got worse. Despite sitting together for our separate tickets to keep things simple, the bills were completely wrong. The other group paid through the kiosk without realizing the mistake, and by the time we noticed, it was too late. It took another 20 minutes at least just to get the manager, Mary, involved. While she was nice and corrected the billing error, but there was no real apology beyond the bare minimum, no effort to make up for the poor service or ruined experience—no discount, no gesture, nothing. On our way out, the host was slouched over on his phone and barely managed a mumble. This special occasion deserved better. Unprofessional from start to finish. I’m not sure I will return to this location...
Read moreA coworker and I visited this OG location for lunch on a Monday.. The purpose of the visit was two-fold.. Neither of us had visited this OG location previously, and I had a birthday dessert offer..
This store has a very inviting interior and we arrived at the very beginning of the lunch hour, so the restaurant was generally empty.. It was about ⅔ full of lunch diners by the time we left..
After snapping the interior shots, the manager/proprietor questioned my motives, but after I informed him that I was a Google Local Guide, he seemed satisfied, though he never really said what caused him to ask in the first place..
My colleague and I shared a bowl of salad and a basket of breadsticks for starters.. I then had the Shrimp Scampi, something I had never tried before.. In retrospect, I wish I had taken the shared photos prior to the ample addition of freshly shredded parmesan cheese on both, but I digress..
The salad wasn't quite as fresh as I would have expected for as early in the day that we visited.. I'm not sure if the lettuce wasn't as fresh and crisp as I've experienced during previous OG encounters or if perhaps this bowl had been prepared earlier in the day and then served.. Everything looked fresh, but it lacked the cold and crisp lettuce that OG typically serves..
The shrimp scampi made up for the salad for sure.. The serving size was robust, and there was an ample serving of shrimp tossed among the asparagus, diced tomatoes, angel hair pasta, and garlic sauce.. The entrée was delivered to the table hot, fresh, and was quite flavorful..
I opted for the Black Tie Mousse Cake to finish things off, and it never disappoints.. It was delivered cold, and the layers of chocolate cake, dark chocolate cheesecake, and custard mousse combined for a decadent, yet not overly rich, dessert offering..
The service was fantastic, and despite the salad being a little less than what I expect OG to deliver, I'm reasonably sure I'll be visiting this location for lunch again in the...
Read moreMy husband and I just tried this place for the 1st time since they opened the location here in mwc and the service was awful. It took me a month to convince my husband to go there with me and he finally did and it was terrible. The waitress had an attitude from the moment we sat down. She took our drink order and we ordered 2 unsweet teas with sweet and low. She brought the tea but didnt get the sweet and low. She hadnt brought bread or salad yet like they normally do so I asked if it came with our meal because she was rushing us to order. She said yes it does and walked away. When she returned to take our order she still didn't have the salad or bread. She walked away after taking our order mind you no words where said, no how are u, nothing she brings the salad to us and we explain we wanted ranch as our dressing with no peppers and if we would have known she was bringing it out we would have told her. She got an attitude and took the salad and walked away. She brought the salad back with ranch on top and peppers still in it. As we mixed the salad up we noticed it still had the Italian dressing on it all she did was add ranch on top. My husband at this point is livid and she takes the salad away. 20 mins later she comes back with the kids food then 5 mins later comes back with our food. Again she never spoke to us. I asked for salt and she brought it back but never gave drink refills like we asked or asked if we wanted desert or anything. She made the whole experience awful and we will never be back to this location. We don't go to olive garden for Alfredo and spaghetti I can make at home for $5.00 we go there for the experience, the salad, and the bread. I am highly disappointed especially with this being a freshly...
