Everything seemed fined to begin with, until we went to order. I ordered the grilled catfish that comes with hush puppies, coleslaw, and fries. I asked if I could substitute the coleslaw and fries for sweet potato fries and green beans. They were all out of green beans, okay so asparagus it was. The waitress was very quick about taking my order and so after my SO ordered I asked if she made sure that I still got the hush puppies because I only wanted the other two items switched. She says that no hush puppies come with the meal. I then open the menu up and point out where it shows that they should. She continues to argue with me saying that they do not come with the meal, but she'll make sure the cooks "throw them on the plate" for me since that's what I wanted. All I wanted was what the menu said minus a bunch of mayo and cabbage in a cup. Food eventually came out. Everything was mediocre at best. The asparagus had no taste, the fries had a pound of salt of them, the only thing was okay was the catfish but even then the seasoning was quite heavy. We never got any drink refills during the entire visit. Towards the end of our meal or daughter was getting agitated and so I got up and was holding her so she would settle. The waitress comes over and asks if there's anything that she can get us (after we are already done and I'm standing). My SO asks for a box to go and the check. The waitress comes back over 5+ minutes later and sets down the box and says she'll be back with the check. Why didn't she just bring it in the first place when she knows we have a baby that we are trying to keep calm? So we wait, and eventually another waitress brings up our check. We leave and get to the car to realize that we left one of our daughters fabric books on the table. I have to call because they locked the door already. I am told that the waitress threw away our daughter's book! We were gone less than 3 minutes! There's no lost and found?? So I am told to call the manager the next day. Unfortunately I was busy at work and could not leave to call. I call the day after and am told he's not there again and that they cannot let me know when he works next because it's against the law. Are you serious?! So I have to just keep calling randomly every day and hour for this guy?! I used to recommend this restaurant and location before, but never again. I sat down while my husband waited to put our name on the list. I began speaking with a woman who was waiting and she informed me that she was told the wait would be 20 mins, but at this point she said they had been waiting 35 minutes. She also told me she walked through the restaurant as they were meeting another couple and all the tables were empty. She was confused by the long wait time. My husband was still waiting in line to have our name put on the list (there was a group of 4 in front of him). My husband and this group waited 10+ minutes before anyone came to the host stand. Finally someone came up, she began speaking to the people in line first, said she didnāt know how long of a wait, but would find out. She walked away and never came back. About 5-10 mins later another host and Iām assuming BOH manager came out. Once my husband got to speak to them was told the wait was 35-45 minutes. Now I realize Saturday evenings are busy, but the restaurant was empty. No tables were occupied. We used to patronize this location frequently, but our last few visits have not been good experiences. However they sat us right by the kitchen doorway which I can say was a horrible idea such a high traffic area right by their outside door and you couldn't hear your conversation over the kitchen staff conversations so loud ,,then the server we had served us btw fries were cold baked potatoes were way over cooked and dried out .. The Beyond Burger was so sloppy and falling apart bread was soggy .. Then to make the matter worse the server brings check sets it on the table walks away ..btw we had 2 people that weren't done eating yet they wanted drink refills but felt rushed due to the check being brought out and didn't ask is we wanted desserts or anything else .... WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED PROBABLY WON'T BE COMING BACK VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. SPENT $170 SO NOT WORTH IT....I can say the manager did respond to me , he was very polite and empathetic he also offered free vouchers to replace the items that were inedible, however the experience was so horrible it was enough not to go back again..
