Have you been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant? The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell the whole team cares deeply about bringing this Erie classic back to life. It’s the kind of place where every guest feels like family. So happy to see Serafini’s back in downtown Erie! #italianfood #food #tastytastebuds #reallifefunny

Amanda Serafini Hughes Serafini's did not disappoint. I went Saturday night. The sauce is fabulous. The international bakery bread is warm and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I do like a little more "olivey" dipping sauce with fresh herbs but don't let that deter you. Huge wine selection including local winery favorites. I got a glass of "diamond". ( I could care less when they say what wine goes with what.) The homemade everything was a treat for their grand opening. Other than my table being switched from the reservation location, noone would have guessed they just opened. Noone! The service was great! I loved my wedding soup (tastes like mine; I'm very picky on soup. It's heavy on flavor.) Amanda was serving plates and checking on guests. She made the atmosphere even more warm and inviting. It's lovely inside. She encouraged me to take a walk around and it definitely made me want to come back. I hope you love it too. It really is on track to be everything we all hoped it would be. Ps...my lasagna was definitely enough to bring home. Oh and the "Italian sushi" was a fun take on sushi and my son enjoyed those leftovers with the other 2/3 of my lasagna. Pics don't do it justice. Reserve your seat! You won't regret it.

I’m not from here so I have no nostalgic thoughts about “the old Serafini’s” like everyone else in Erie. The meatballs and arancini were great. And that was about it. The menu is incredibly small. They were out of lasagna and just about every type of red wine, which is good for the business, bad for the customer. Pizza was a 4/10 at best. Two Alfredo’s that looked like completely different dishes. Table next to us had to get up to find a waiter/waitress to take their order. Atmosphere and decorations were great though. Place has potential, but the first impression was definitely lacking.

I placed my reservation over the phone with Melissa, who was amazing. She explained why I was unable to reserve a table for 10 online. She spent close to 10 minutes on the phone assisting me in booking our reservation. We arrived Sunday 11/2 on time for our reservation. Melissa greeted our party and showed us to our table, explained both menus and told us to enjoy our experience. And it was definitely an experience. 75% bad. Our server was Ryan. She was initially friendly until our food came out. Every single pasta dish was seriously under cooked. We all already have experience with fresh pasta and it having a very different texture. This was NOT that. The linguine was stuck together and hard as a rock. The spaghetti as well. Ryan could not have cared less. We fully expected a visit to our table by the owners because a table close to us was also unhappy and the owner touched base more than once. Not once did she come over to our table. Ryan acted like it wasn't her problem and paid much less attention to our table. We had full view of both dinning rooms and were able to watch her interact with her other tables. Another employee offered to get our table more water as our bottles sat empty after we complained. Maybe the kitchen had a bad night. I will say beware. Melissa checked in with us as we left and I told her she was the best part about our "experience". She offered to grab one of the owners but by this time, we were all over it and just wanted to go home. I feel we did our part as we had notified our server that we...

If you're looking for a unique dining experience, Serafini's Trattoria is definitely unlike anything else in Erie. The renovation turned out so beautiful and you can see the thought that went into every detail. The atmosphere feels upscale, but inviting, like you're dining among family.

The food was PHENOMENAL, I received complementary meatballs since I was seated in the kitchen—something anyone who sits in the more casual spot of the restaurant receives. I ordered the Arancini to start, and obsessed is an understatement. I had to stop myself from eating them all to leave room for my main entree. When my lasagna arrived, you could see the steam coming off of it. Not only that, the portion was big enough for 2. They aren't greedy on sauce either, a huge plus when you finish it off the next day. Not to mention, they made a very solid choice by going with international bakery on the Italian bread. Oh, and I can't stop thinking about how good the pizza smelled, I wish I would have ordered one for a late-night snack.

I ordered 2 white Russians and they were made to perfection, and I'm picky with my spirits. I was so tempted to veer from my usual and order one of the signature drinks, especially the FiniTini, but I have to save something for next time.

From food & atmosphere to service & quality, you can't go wrong by spending your next meal at Serafini's Trattoria....
