Pho Ha Noi offer authentic Vietnamese cuisine with some unique twists and quality service.
The Food: I can't go to a restaurant called Pho Ha Noi and not get the pho (beef noodle soup), so I ordered the Pho Bo Dac Biet -- which directly translates to Special Beef Noodle Soup. But a more accurate description would be "combination pho," because it comes with rare flap meat, well done brisket, flank, tendon, meatball, and short-rib meat. That's a lot of beef! And it was all quite good. The broth is flavorful with a fatty but smooth texture while the fresh fat noodles tied everything together nicely. It's not the best pho I've ever had but it was satisfying.
The big surprise was my side order of crispy sticky rice. Being Vietnamese and having eaten at my fair share of Vietnamese restaurants, I have never seen a place sell sticky rice that's been fried. I had to try it, and was so happy I did. The outside was perfectly crispy -- not too hard, not burnt -- while the inside was still moist and sticky.
Plus, the Vietnamese iced coffee was nice and strong, just the way I like it.
The Setting: Located inside a small strip mall, Pho Ha Noi has a solid number of shared parking stalls. The restaurant itself is quite large with plenty of tables in various configurations. It was clean and well organized.
The Service: It's not uncommon to have bad or non-existent customer service at Vietnamese restaurants. That's the old-school norm. Fortunately, Pho Ha Noi has a modern understanding of service. All the servers were polite, attentive, and helpful.
The Conclusion: Pho Ha Noi delivers tasty beef noodle soup and other authentic Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Ha Noi - Milpitas this past Monday, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere that made me feel like I was among friends and family. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic—inviting, vibrant, and full of energy, yet also offering a cozy environment to enjoy a meal.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the ribs pho, and it was simply outstanding. The portion was incredibly generous, with so much tender, flavorful meat that I couldn’t even finish it. The presentation was beautiful, and you can tell the chefs put care into crafting each dish. The Thai milk tea I had alongside it was equally impressive, perfectly balancing sweetness and richness.
One of the highlights of Pho Ha Noi is the exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond, treating every guest like an old friend, making the dining experience feel personal and genuine. Their politeness and attention to detail stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable.
The restaurant’s location is also a plus—convenient and easy to get to, which adds to the overall experience.
If I could give them 100 stars, I would. This place is a must-visit, whether you're craving pho or just looking for a welcoming place to enjoy a great meal. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreWe visited Pho Ha Noi for dinner with high hopes, but our experience was somewhat mixed. After reviewing the menu, we decided to order Chicken Noodle Soup (Pho Ga) and Bun Rieu, only to be told by the waiter that both were out of stock. We were given more time to decide, but our next choices, Vegetable Pho and fresh noodles, were also unavailable. This left us feeling a bit disappointed.
Finally, we settled on Pho Tai Bo Vien, Combination Beef Pho, and Vietnamese short rib stew served with a baguette. The broths for both pho dishes were a bit too salty for our taste, which detracted from the overall flavor. Additionally, the condiments were served in little dishes rather than providing the whole bottle, and there were no sliced jalapeno peppers, which we missed for that extra spicy kick.
The Vietnamese short rib stew was another letdown. It was very oily, and when we took the leftovers home, the separation of the thick layer of oil on top was quite evident.
Overall, while the food had potential, the availability issues and the overly salty broths made our experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. We hope Pho Ha Noi can address these concerns to improve future dining...
