This super popular Vietnamese pho spot also has an amazing steak set with chicken liver pâté and baguette! Besides the Bay Area's pho king Kim Long, Pho Ha Noi has become a rising star in recent years, winning over pho lovers with its refined dishes, elegant decor, and great service. They’ve even opened several branches! The atmosphere is more spacious and comfortable, and whenever my SF friends want pho, I always take them to Pho Ha Noi. 💜 **Vietnamese Sizzling Steak**: Beyond their variety of pho, what really surprised me was their sizzling steak set. My partner isn’t a fan of rice noodles, so they ordered the steak set, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious and worth every penny! For just over $20, you get two tender slices of Angus filet, Vietnamese ham, chicken liver pâté, a sunny-side-up egg, and fries. So satisfying! The steak is also top-notch, easily outshining many Hong Kong-style cafes. 🥖 The chicken liver pâté spread on their Vietnamese baguette is pure bliss! The pâté is pan-fried, making it more aromatic and less gamey, with a flavor close to foie gras. Highly recommend trying it next time you visit! 💜 **Beef Pho**: I love the raw beef combo. It’s slightly pricier than Kim Long’s, but the quality is more refined, the meat is tender, and the portion is generous. Every time I finish the noodles, there’s still plenty of meat left. They also offer fresh rice noodles, which are silkier and don’t absorb all the broth like traditional noodles. Their fresh rice noodles are more like thin rice sheets, not the usual pho noodles. I always go for those—ask for "fresh rice noodles." 💜 **Chicken Pho**: It’s hard to find good Vietnamese chicken pho in the South Bay, but this place does it well. The broth is flavorful, the noodles are tender, and the chicken is free-range. 💜 **Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls**, fried spring rolls, and various rice plates are all excellent. They also have a wide selection of drinks, and I’ve yet to try anything disappointing. The menu isn’t huge, but everything they serve is solid. I prefer the Milpitas location—it’s newly opened this year, affordable, and has a great atmosphere. Fremont just got a new branch too! **Pho Ha Noi** 📍 1228 S Abel St, Milpitas 📍 969 Story Rd #6048, San Jose 📍 185 University Ave, Palo Alto 📍 10100 S De Anza Blvd, Cupertino 📍 43316 Christy St, Fremont #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGemEats #BeefPho #FoodieAdventures #AffordableEats #BeefNoodles #BeefSoup #BayAreaLife #SanFranciscoEats #VietnamesePho

Pho Ha Noi offer authentic Vietnamese cuisine with some unique twists and quality service. The Food: I can't go to a restaurant called Pho Ha Noi and not get the pho (beef noodle soup), so I ordered the Pho Bo Dac Biet -- which directly translates to Special Beef Noodle Soup. But a more accurate description would be "combination pho," because it comes with rare flap meat, well done brisket, flank, tendon, meatball, and short-rib meat. That's a lot of beef! And it was all quite good. The broth is flavorful with a fatty but smooth texture while the fresh fat noodles tied everything together nicely. It's not the best pho I've ever had but it was satisfying. The big surprise was my side order of crispy sticky rice. Being Vietnamese and having eaten at my fair share of Vietnamese restaurants, I have never seen a place sell sticky rice that's been fried. I had to try it, and was so happy I did. The outside was perfectly crispy -- not too hard, not burnt -- while the inside was still moist and sticky. Plus, the Vietnamese iced coffee was nice and strong, just the way I like it. The Setting: Located inside a small strip mall, Pho Ha Noi has a solid number of shared parking stalls. The restaurant itself is quite large with plenty of tables in various configurations. It was clean and well organized. The Service: It's not uncommon to have bad or non-existent customer service at Vietnamese restaurants. That's the old-school norm. Fortunately, Pho Ha Noi has a modern understanding of service. All the servers were polite, attentive, and helpful. The Conclusion: Pho Ha Noi delivers tasty beef noodle soup and other authentic Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit -- "pho real."

Pho Ha Noi is a decent place for people who love northern vietnamese cuisine. I’m from Hanoi and I approve the place. I don’t think it’s realistic to ask for 100% authentic and very good Hanoi Pho and I think this place meets like 80%, but I still give them a 5 star because 80% authentic is already very good. Why I think they only meet 80% is because I don’t serve garlic vinegar and still serve the dish with beans sprout and other herbs - that’s how the southern people eat Pho. I also had Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) here and to my surprise, it also serves decent chicken pho which I think is quite difficult to cook good like a true Hanoian. Anyway, still very impressive and enjoy this restaurant, especially it’s like 3 mins away from my home. I have had some quick run to this restaurant at lunch for a pickup. Good one!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Ha Noi - Milpitas this past Monday, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere that made me feel like I was among friends and family. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic—inviting, vibrant, and full of energy, yet also offering a cozy environment to enjoy a meal.

Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the ribs pho, and it was simply outstanding. The portion was incredibly generous, with so much tender, flavorful meat that I couldn’t even finish it. The presentation was beautiful, and you can tell the chefs put care into crafting each dish. The Thai milk tea I had alongside it was equally impressive, perfectly balancing sweetness and richness.

One of the highlights of Pho Ha Noi is the exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond, treating every guest like an old friend, making the dining experience feel personal and genuine. Their politeness and attention to detail stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable.

The restaurant’s location is also a plus—convenient and easy to get to, which adds to the overall experience.

If I could give them 100 stars, I would. This place is a must-visit, whether you're craving pho or just looking for a welcoming place to enjoy a great meal. I’ll definitely be...

We visited Pho Ha Noi for dinner with high hopes, but our experience was somewhat mixed. After reviewing the menu, we decided to order Chicken Noodle Soup (Pho Ga) and Bun Rieu, only to be told by the waiter that both were out of stock. We were given more time to decide, but our next choices, Vegetable Pho and fresh noodles, were also unavailable. This left us feeling a bit disappointed.

Finally, we settled on Pho Tai Bo Vien, Combination Beef Pho, and Vietnamese short rib stew served with a baguette. The broths for both pho dishes were a bit too salty for our taste, which detracted from the overall flavor. Additionally, the condiments were served in little dishes rather than providing the whole bottle, and there were no sliced jalapeno peppers, which we missed for that extra spicy kick.

The Vietnamese short rib stew was another letdown. It was very oily, and when we took the leftovers home, the separation of the thick layer of oil on top was quite evident.

Overall, while the food had potential, the availability issues and the overly salty broths made our experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. We hope Pho Ha Noi can address these concerns to improve future dining...
