I have to write this review because I am very disappointed with the store manager. She was not good with calculation but she tried to teach me maths and "tax will not be returned" (that's new 😂)
I received the wrong item from an online order (that received pant is actually more expensive than the purchased item). I bring the pant to store for express return. The store manager asked me to show all of my orders in the past to make sure that wrong item did not come from any past orders. Ok I passed the step after a while working on slow internet.
Next she showed me $19 on her screen and told me that amount will be the total refund. I told her that shouldn't be correct because the price I paid was $20.99 (tax not included ) so she told me TAX WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. After she told me that I was totally unsatisfied and wanted to get back even a dime.
I told the manager "I always get back the total amount with tax when I return items". Then she turned to my phone and asked the order receipt , i showed the receipt as my attached screenshot and she tried to calculate for me total original price of 3 items in my order 20.99 plus 27.99 plus 20.99 equal to bottom line $76.35( I was like whatttttt and almost manipulated by her math skill). And she immediately concluded " this $20.99 is the price including tax" - WHATTTT again????(can any one see the tax line at the end of the receipt ?). I told her that was not true and she changed again "$20.99 was the original price and You only get back the discounted price that you paid". I totally agreed that I should get back what I paid BUT the original price was $24.99 and I paid $20.99 (discounted price) for the item plus 9.12% tax then total of refund should be $22.9 After trying several explains and couldn't come up with her amount of $19, she told me she didn't do anything the system will do by itself. Lastly the refund receipt was printed out with the exact amount as I calculated for her $22.9. If she told me that she let the system do it own work at first, I wouldn't have wasted time with her. Few dollars not worth that effort. But she was the one who tried to give me maths lesson and I thought she could manually enter the refund amount So I had to fight back to prove that customers are not stupid. Not even mention her attitude when she wrongly explained to me and I told her " I just want to get the exact amount I paid " , she retorted in unpleasant voice: "everything is in the receipt, if you have any problem you can refer to that receipt "🙄. I purchased a coat on sale for $29.99, and due to the store closing in 20 minutes, I wasn’t allowed to try it on. Trusting the 30-day return policy printed on my receipt and confirmed by the cashier, I went ahead with the purchase. However, when I returned to exchange the coat (which was too large), I was told that H&M’s “new policy,” implemented after my purchase, no longer allowed returns for sale items.
I showed my receipt clearly stating the 30-day return policy without exceptions. Even after acknowledging I was correct, the manager refused to issue a refund, saying, “My answer doesn’t change,” and was shockingly rude and dismissive. Customer service was no better—they refused to assist with in-store purchases.
This experience has left me extremely frustrated and feeling cheated. Changing return policies retroactively after a purchase is unfair and unethical. The unhelpful and dismissive attitude of the manager further ruined my trust in H&M.

Worst customer service and billing in a long time. At the billing/check out reps talk amongst themselves while people in line wait to be called. The billing system is horrible; make sure you ALWAYS check your bill afterwards. I have had the misfortune of shopping here thrice (I wish I had another H&M closer to where I live) and each time the item's tagged price and billed price was different. No prizes for guessing the billed price was always higher.
The merchandise is extremely disorganized; half the things don't belong where they should be price wise. You can bet something under the section of $10 isn't $10.
The sections aren't made very well making it difficult to navigate through and not easy to find what you're really looking for. For example no dedicated section...
