Finally came to check this place out. We sat ourselves on an open high top table. We got some chips and salsa right away. Big fan of the salsa which was more of a Pico de Gallo but the lemon in it reminded me of Ceviche but without the shrimp/fish. I'm a huge fan of ceviche so I was loving this stuff. The place quickly got busier as it was the lunch hour but wasn't terrible. My coworker had 4 tacos, one Tinga, Carnitas, Al Pastor and Steak and he mentioned the Tinga was his least favorite...too runny.

I think the menu didn't do a good job describing the Quesi-Birria tacos as my coworker didn't know what they were and there was no description or picture on the menu.

I got Birria and steak tacos with a side of green tomatillo and red sauce. The birria tacos were spot on, double corn tortillas, dipped in the birria au jus/consome, melted cheese, and of course the birria. I believe they use beef and not goat, menu also didn't say. I had mine topped with onion/cilantro and didn't need much more than a hint of lime so the meat was very flavorful, they weren't super greasy and I think they were done very well. They birria tacos didn't fall apart on me. I did end up adding some of the green salsa and some of the pico de gallo because it was so good.

The steak taco was pretty good as well, went well with the green sauce. The steak reminded me of Comales or Arrandas steak so big fan of those places so give the Lazos steak tacos a try.

I'd go back to this place and load up on some more birria tacos and try some of the other meat options with rice and beans. Only reason I didn't give this place a 5 was because the menu could use some help otherwise the...

Thanks to the LAZO owners and workers. The food was so good, as usual. You got to try this place. Noticed, lots of people picking food to go. (Lunch hour) that good.. 👍 👍 👍 👍 Great complementary chips and salsa to start off. (Salsa and tortilla chips were fresh and delicious) Food was so reasonably priced. Guacamole comes in 3 different sizes We ordered the 5 oz (maybe it was 6oz) More than enough for two of us, that was the med size. Plenty food choices in the menu. We tried the birria tacos and the quesadilla cheese with al pastor meat for the filling. It was huge. Parking is on the street. If you visit the city of Milwaukee it makes sense to get the Milwaukee parking app. With it you will get notified when you are running out of time and than you can add more time as needed. Only thing I didn't like was the lime wedges. Restaurants make the mistake of cutting too many limes ahead of time Limes tend to go bad and taste horrible. For all I know could of been from the day before. I wish they would cut them right before you get them. I know the restaurants do it to save time, but is a real waste. By the way restrooms were very clean. We...

Handed us a menu told us picked our seat sat for 5 minutes we had to call out for a waiter just to tell us the dining area closed we can only take out meanwhile every white person is seated and waiters taking care of them horrible customer service prejudiced restaurant would give no stars if I could !! EDIT FROM RESPONSE OF MY REVIEW Very rude as you can see from the response from the owner constructive criticism matters in customer service lying instead of taking accountability is not cool walked in the restaurant waiter Told us to picked a seat never mentioned closing handed us a menu waited for her return more than 5 minutes passed to the point we had to wave her down for her then to say dining in is closed at 620 do you want take out see this why it’s critical to record prejudiced people you can be minority and prejudice it’s ironic every white table is served and acknowledge we seen at least 3 waiters but the black table is completely ignored Black people Please save your money Chucho’s Red Tacos is friendly and has excellent customer service
