Visiting from Chicago and let me start with saying that had it not been for Alyssa C as our server and Lucky at the front desk, this would be a whole other kind of review!
Lucky was great! He was pleasant, professional and patient. Despite the line behind us, he took his time explaining the different prices and helped us figure out what was most cost effective for us.
Then, the vibe changed.
We stood for a while waiting to be seated, because any table that was open had tent signs on it stating to find a host to be seated... except there was no host or host stand anywhere! After waiting a good 10 minutes, I asked one of the servers (Alyssa C) if we can sit anywhere. She told us that it's open seating right now and confirmed that we could find a table and someone would be with us soon. We found a table all the way towards the back and sat... and waited... and waited... and waited! At least 4-5 servers passed our table, not one greeted or acknowledged us. The server that was checking on all the tables surrounding us not once stopped by our table.
At least 20 minutes have now passed and still no server. As we sat waiting, I noticed Alyssa in her section, greeting, engaging, smiling and taking orders for every table that had sat AFTER us. I decided that must be THE section to sit in. We moved to her section in the bar area, found a table that had not been bussed and cleared the table ourselves and then sat down to wait... again. Within FIVE minutes, Alyssa greeted us and took our orders.
The rest of our dining experience was AMAZING!
Despite being super busy because it was a Wednesday (half off games) and it also being spring break week, Alyssa just kept smiling, was super sweet, and extremely gracious. Not just with our table, but every single table she served. I was so very impressed with this young lady that it warranted this long review!! She also was so wonderful that I gave her a tip equal to our bill!
I'd like to say that she should be promoted for being the epitome of excellent customer service, but my hope for her is that she rises above and out of D&B and find somewhere where her great vibe and positive energy makes her super rich and successful!!
*Alyssa, if you read this, I am praying for your miracle to happen!!
The rest of our time was great! All the games were fun and we had a blast... but all because Lucky and Alyssa made our visit...
Read moreWell, people were nice, prices are honestly outrageous. Spent 120 dollars, for food and 1 ticket card with 300 tickets for my self and my fiancé. First the food menu is kinda lack luster, which is expected since it highlights all the “cool games” the food was decent though, I got a chicken sandwich and some fries which were good, the sauces were really good, 3 different types of honey mustards. My lady got some wings, which were good. Just wings kinda hard to mess those up, our server was very kind, and very informative, the “combo deals” were very confusing, I’m a first responder, so we got 15 percent off the food ONLY which is fine, but the total of everything was just a hair under 100 dollars, and we got a whopping 5 dollars off the whole experience. We tipped 20 percent which was around 20 dollars which is totally fine because our server was really good at what she does. Now the games…mannnnn…what an anticlimactic experience. Some games lasted a whopping 20 seconds if that, and costed up to around 12-15 tickets EACH PERSON. Some of the games didn’t even work, and I felt like I was playing carnival games, it’s like they don’t want you to win at all, I get it, I’m 34 years old and my lady 28 years old, the games we grew up playing are not the same, no magic, nothing really innovative, we did try the main attraction game which was essentially a meta quest type headset you put on to play in AR but mine didn’t even work and the headset was falling apart..this is definitely a kids experience, don’t go here as an adult expected an awesome time unless your drunk lol. Let the kids have fun. As adults I’d avoid… we spending 120 dollars in total as my lady and I did for ourselves. So in conclusion, the service was good, informative, but everything else was very lackluster. I’d go on Wednesday when games are half off I believe, because there’s like a tier list of the games to play from cheapest to most expensive, we spent 300 “tickets” in an hour. Because we got some credit card with tickets on it to spend on the games. I’m more than likely not coming back unfortunately. Stick to bullwinkles in Wilsonville honestly, that’s better than this for...
Read moreWent with my family (party of six in total) last night, the day after Christmas. We'd had folks in town and wanted a break from cooking and a chance to play some games. Dave & Buster's felt like a good option...... Regrettable....
Bottom line is that the food situation there is simply unacceptable. Our wait time for food was one hour and when they served it, they only served five of us...one dish still to come. That final plate took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. The others who were served awkwardly waited as best they could for everyone to be served. When it (finally) arrived, the other dishes were, you guessed it, cold. We ate it as we'd already committed ~80 minutes to the meal. Had we not already bought over $200 of game credits, we'd have left, paid for our drinks and gone elsewhere rather than continuing to wait. The server (Travis) was solid and apologized as he said the kitchen was overwhelmed, but we noticed that he was nowhere to be found, likely lying low as we along with other tables were pretty frustrated. We told him that we understood that there was only so much he could do, but the end result was not up to standards.
Game situation was only fair, too. About one out of four/five games are out of service and the virtual reality experience they were touting hard on their website...also out of service.
All in all, nearly $400 and 3 1/2 hours for a very poor experience. I'd have given this one star if not for the server who was trying to be helpful; didn't make things much better, but I didn't doubt that he was trying and doing what he could. A missed opportunity and money that could've been better spent almost anywhere else.
Took the time to respond to D&B's cookie cutter reply of "concern". Received back from them the most basic, uninspired response. I'm guessing that they have 4 or 5 stock replies that they use in feigning an interest in their customers' concerns. Corporate seems about as indifferent as the Clackamas restaurant was in taking care of their customers'; not a good sign for their long-term viability as...
