We went in on 1/11/25 to grab some "freshly baked bagels" and boy oh boy, what a disappointment. The customer service was 1, not welcoming at all. I bought 6 bagels and was very excited to get home to have some. The bagels were rock hard, seems like they were sitting there for a week or more, I was very disappointed and that ruined the experience for me. I would avoid this location at all cost, it looks like they sell stale bagels, not cool especially wren it's almost $10.00 for 6 bagels.
UPDATE: I received a response from the company to fill out a form with my info. I tried accessing the form but unable to submit.
UPDATE 1/20/2025. Unfortunately this issue was never resolved. Looks like i received an automated response to my initial review which directed me to fill out a "non-workable " online form. They knew that process doesn't work but yet directed me to fill out a form about my experience. I spent almost 10.00 for 6 bagels and ended throwing out all 6 as they were stale and hard. They must have been sitting there for several days and they sold out to me. That was my first time trying their bagels and I was very disappointed, I would not advised anyone to go there to buy their bagels, it's not freshly baked as...
Read moreI went into Bruggers on the U of M campus around 2:30 on Sunday October 22nd. I ordered 2 herby turkeys on everything bagels and when they came out (15 minutes later) they were on sesame bagels. I drove back to the store and said “I ordered 2 herby turkeys on everything bagels and these are not everything bagels”. The person at the register’s response was “Oh… uh we’ll get those to you”. No apology no nothing. I work in costumer service and understand the demands of closing and the frustration with difficult costumers. However, I also understand the importance of costumer satisfaction and having the human decency to apologize when a mistake has been made. I would not have been so upset if I hadn’t opened up my new bag of bagels and found that they were very poorly made and on the smallest bagels possible. I wish I was exaggerating. These new bagels came out in under a minute and I watched as another worker threw together my bagels. Again, I’ve worked in costumer service and I understand the pettiness of giving a rude costumer the smallest bagel or pastry. But I was neither rude or in the wrong. I am honestly just really disappointed in the workers there and how the situation was handled. Do...
Read moreI bike to this Bruegger's location quite frequently as it is close to my office and quite convenient to grab a quick breakfast. I will bring my bike in with me, set it out of the way, pick up my meal, and be on my way. The establishment is usually almost empty when I come through. I have been doing this for 2 months. This morning when I came in it took several minutes before I was helped. Eventually, I was confronted by a shift lead who told me I could not have my bike inside and provided no explanation as to why. The individual was extremely rude, unprofessional, made no eye contact, and was slurring her words as if she was inebriated. She continued to argue with me until the second shift lead came and made my order, mentioning nothing about the bike. I paid for my food and went on my way.
If Bruegger's is going to make it inconvenient for me to get my breakfast, I am more than content with taking my time and money to one of the many non-franchised bagelries in the TC metro. As a previous employee of Einstein's Bagels I expect way better service than this. I prefer Bruegger's over Einstein’s bagels any day, but this experience of extremely poor service has tainted my view of the...
