I lived with Dinnaken Properties for 6 years - 1 year at Dinnaken and the other 5 years in two different units at Tairrie House. Tairrie is mostly comprised of med students/grad students/young working medical professionals, etc. so it’s a bit more quiet than Dinnaken. Dinnaken is mostly comprised of undergraduate students and has more of a dorm feel with the front reception desk.

The Dinnaken management team is very respectful and prompt in answering email inquiries. The Dinnaken maintenance team is always very kind and considerate when they have to enter your apartment to work on something. The maintenance requests always get taken care of within a week, and if it’s something more urgent, there is a live-in who will come during off hours. The secure package system is a great feature, and free laundry, cable, and wi-fi are definitely huge pluses as well. I always have felt very safe as there are security guards who do rounds during the nights and staff the reception desks overnight.

Simply the best student living. The management understand the complexities of student life and are very accommodating. The common areas are always kept clean and maintenance requests are handled promptly. Unlike some other properties on campus, there are no hidden or unfair fees and the management is very upfront with payments and fees. For example, I forgot to provide an address for my security deposit return, but they were organized enough after a quick email to mail it to me in 1 business day. At other areas I lived at, I had to fight for my security deposit back. Love the Dinnaken and highly recommend! I LOVE DINNAKEN SO MUCH!!! Easily my favorite place I’ve lived on campus. The leasing agent like actually knew me by name within the first week I lived there and the staff makes a point to reach out and provide fun and cute little things like treats during finals week and such. The front desk staff are all amazinggg!!! My unit is literally so spacious and I have my own ginormous beautiful room for super cheap. It probably beats most prices you can find on campus or in that area and utilities are SO cheap, too. Great location, amazing staff, and I love my unit and the large space we have!!!
