It is fine. Several Doran properties, including The Edge on Oak, were sold to East Bank Communities (I think that is their official name) and, basically, EBC bit off more than they could chew. Repairs take a while. Repairmen came to repair our window and saw that they needed to order new parts, so they pulled out the old parts and left. The old parts remain on the windowsill, waiting for the repairpeople to return to make a repair. That work order was first filed in December, and it is currently April. It has been a while. Security is always polite and the people at the front desk are nice, it just feels like the management above them lacks direction or the manpower to get things done. The elevator was broken for a month and there are no stairs in the lobby, they are in the back of the garage, so it was quite impractical to simply go home. If we had groceries, it was a pain in the rear. Pretty immediately after that happened, the front handle of the building broke off (fell off? It only needed to be screwed back into place, so I don't think anything was broken) and remained so for a couple weeks. During this time, the building had to be entered through the garage. Even if this was broken, it should not have taken this span of time to repair the handle. Ultimately, I am paying a lot for low quality...
Read moreI lived here during all of the 2023 summer. The apartment itself is pretty nice and spacious. The management although, is the absolute worst. There were many times where we had issues with our sinks/toilets/AC where it took weeks for maintenance to come in and fix it. My bedroom had kids drawings all over it and the microwave had a broken handle. Would expect that to be fixed before the next people move into an apartment. The worst part was when my secured bike in the parking garage got stolen. There are cameras all over the garage but it doesn't matter. My bike had a 7 day frame for which it could have been stolen, but the cameras are so low quality that the manager told me that they cannot "speed" the cameras up. This meant that the manager would have to watch 7 days straight of camera footage which I knew they weren't going to do. Danielle was friendly and had a general idea of what she was doing but she desperately needs help from decision makers above her. I only lived here for 4 months, it is not worth the price and struggle you have to go through. YUGO has multiple apartment buildings around the area, I would say there are...

I’ve had an overall fine experience with this apartment complex, but the final straw has been their dishonest handling of the referral bonus. For months, all previous managers assured us that we would receive the bonus after successfully referring someone to live here. I trusted them on their word, only to be told by the new management that because I’ve since moved away, we are no longer eligible. They claim this is an “implicit” rule, but at no point was this ever mentioned—not when we referred, not when we moved out, and not during any of our conversations with the previous managers.
It’s ridiculous that they expect us to abide by some unwritten rule that was never communicated. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and it speaks volumes about the lack of integrity in their management. I’m demanding the referral money that we were promised. Be warned—this complex does not honor its commitments, and I would strongly advise against...
