I stumbled upon Egg Flip purely by chance — it’s located just down the street from my job, and now it’s become one of my go-to breakfast spots in Santa Ana. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The owner is incredibly hospitable, greeting customers with a warm smile and genuine appreciation for your business. That energy flows through the whole place — the staff are helpful, quick, and know how to hustle, which makes all the difference when you're grabbing a bite during a busy workday.
I ordered the Mr. Bacon bowl, and it did not disappoint. The eggs were fluffy and cooked just right, the bacon was crispy and savory, and the portion size was perfect — filling but not heavy. I added avocado and a couple of extra toppings, and the flavors all came together beautifully. Everything tasted fresh, like it was just prepped that morning, and it had that comforting, home-cooked feel but with a fast-casual speed. The best part? I was in and out in no time — super fast service without sacrificing quality.
The vibe inside Egg Flip is clean, modern, and inviting. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick breakfast, grabbing lunch, or picking something up to-go, it’s the kind of place that just makes you feel good. You can tell they care about what they serve and how they serve it.
Highly recommend if you're in the area — especially if you're looking for something delicious, affordable, and quick. Egg Flip is a hidden gem that definitely deserves more recognition. I’ll be back...

This place nails the esthetic and the staff welcomed us in. It's very clean and the staff are always stocking or cleaning.
Our two deluxe sandwiches, single order of tots, a single drink, and optional 15% tip came to $39.
The sandwiches themselves were larger than we expected. The ingredients were not hot and the cheese was not melted. We assume that everything was made fresh as we arrived at 11:15 am and it took around 10 minutes to receive our order.
Aside from the temperature the sandwiches themselves are pretty to look at and a fun challenge to consume. I know Subway might own the copyright but the cooks at Egg Flip are truly the artists.
It's definitely worth checking out to see if it's your cup...
Read moreBest place to get overpriced egg sandwiches downtown. For roughly 220% of the price, you can get a meal that is about 30% better than a mcdonalds breakfast combo.
It was tasty, but messy and ultimately mostly bread. I got The Flip, and it had probably 1/4th of an avocado, a thin slice of cheese, perhaps 1.5 scrambled eggs, less than 1 strip of bacon, and a moderate sausage patty. The combo for $6 to add tots and a drink was a poor choice on my part, as that is an absurd amount to pay for a handful of frozen tots and a fountain drink.
I did like how easy it was to order and pick up the food, and I like that there were places to sit. Just a really extravagant price for a somewhat...
