This was one of the more frustrating dining experiences I have had in a very long time. My wife and I ate dinner here before seeing a candle light concert (which was fantastic).
The good: The waitstaff and bartenders were amazing. Extremely friendly and fun. I can't stress enough how great they were! The atmosphere was fantastic. It's a small place, but very cute and a really nice place to spend an evening. My wife said the crab cakes were excellent!
The not so good: It took over a half hour for our jalapeno popper appetizer to arrive after ordering. I can look past this - restaurants are busy, mistakes happen, etc... but when they finally arrived there were two jalapeno poppers. Two. Both wrapped in flaccid bacon and a piece of dry flavorless duck. While the cocktails sounded interesting on the menu, they were watered down and made with fairly cheap tasting liquor Our burgers had great flavor, but were overcooked and dry Most frustratingly, at the end of our meal just before we went into the show, I asked if we could order a couple cocktails to bring in with us. 'Of course!' The cocktails came, we walked into the theater, and were promptly turned away because our cocktails were in glass containers, not plastic cups. Is this not something the waitstaff should be aware of? At this point I had enough and just left the cocktails at the entrance to the theater.
We will definitely be back to the theater for another show in the future, but we're more likely to go to Beckett's for $5 happy hour burgers and beers than return to the...
Read moreSo we came for the candle light music experience. I'll start of with that was the best part of the experience. So tonight they were out of many different options on their menu. That's understandable to a point but after my wife is told no on what she chooses for the third time it's gets annoying. I got the monster burger medium rare (it was well done). My wife got the sandwich. The meat on both of our meals was very dry. The bottom of my bun was soggy from sitting on the hot plate to long. Then comes the drinks they charge $14 for well whisky and for the life of them cannot make a good mix drink. Also I cannot confirm this, but a couple next to us was complaining about hair in their food. The staff came out and tried to tell them they were wrong. Im sorry you don't do that even if she was wrong you just own it dont argue with the lady. This staff needs a lot of training as they are very new. Lastly watch your bill for two things first your actual costs. Their online menu is just wrong and you will be over charged. Second they have 10% guaranteed gratuity. That's not the issue servers should be payed well. But then they have you pay and it's set for another 20% in tip (30% total). Either make it automatically 20% and leave it or don't have the 10%. Overall the music event we were there for was fantastic. The dinning and drinking experience was over priced and...
Read moreWe went to a pole dance performance and enjoyed the show very much. The seats weren't where I was expecting but it was probably my fault for not understanding what I was ordering. However the seats were still pretty good.
Cons - I made a mistake when getting my tickets and ended up in the balcony. Perhaps the website could say " Stage" where the stage is located for easier ordering? Symbols are easily misconstrued.
We never saw any wait staff that seemed like they were supposed to be waiting on us. There seemed to be quite a few servers but I had to go ask the hostess for help with ordering. Someone did bring the food out eventually. I had to go ask for the bill. The hostess kept trying to say she comped our drinks that we had already paid for by going directly to the bar. Then there was a large gratuity already included on the bill. I didn't see any way to modify it, I don't feel that there was any gratuity earned. I was intending to leave a small gratuity. I can't say anything great about the food this time. It was only ok.
I think the next time we come to a performance we will just plan on getting a drink or two and skip the...
