I can't say enough good things about CycleBar in Uptown Minneapolis. I've been riding with CycleBar for about a year now, and it's genuinely the most fun I've had with my clothes on. The facilities are top-notch and always well-maintained. They provide thoughtful amenities like earplugs, mints, and water, and on special occasions, you'll even find coffee, fruit platters, and sometimes donuts.
The locker rooms are excellent, equipped with resettable combination lockers, so you don’t need to worry about carrying a lock. The shower and bathroom facilities are well-stocked with everything you might need post-ride, including body wash, Q-tips, hair dryers, and more—making it easy to freshen up and head straight to your next destination.
The CycleBar app is incredibly user-friendly, allowing you to sign up for classes and seamlessly sync them with your calendar. This feature makes it so easy to plan your spin sessions around your regular routine.
As for the classes themselves, they are anything but ordinary. They’re fun, challenging, and engaging, with fresh music that perfectly matches the tempo of the ride. The choreography keeps you on your toes and somehow manages to give you that extra burst of energy just when you think you’ve hit your limit.
The staff and instructors are phenomenal—courteous, energetic, and always ready to help. A special shoutout to Andie, Heidi, Michael and Morgan at the Uptown location—they’ve been incredibly warm, welcoming, and are truly cyclestars at what they do.
All in all, I couldn’t be happier with my CycleBar experience. I highly recommend you try one of their classes—you won’t be...
Read moreI hate gym culture, which is why I am in love with Cyclebar. They don't have a membership structure, which is great for me because I need the flexibility of paying by the workout. Their instructors are sensational. If you've ever felt like you're not athletic or not coordinated, never fear, you will feel positive, empowered, and inspired here! This is where I tried cycling for the first time, and now I'm hooked -- the Cyclebar emphasis on making it "Your Ride" really comes through, no matter what instructor you have or what kind of class you're doing.
Cyclebar makes visiting super convenient - not only do they provide shoes, lockers, a waterbottle, and anything else you can think of, they also have online scheduling and you can pick your bike ahead of time.
I highly recommend Cyclebar to anyone looking to switch up their workout routine, anyone who loves jamming out to great music while they workout, and anyone who is into working out by themselves in a low-pressure atmosphere. If you're the competitive type, Cyclebar is great because they keep track of your class stats, but they'll send you a private email after class because no one wants to hear you gloat, even if you are really good.
TLDR; Cyclebar is convenient, fun, accessible, friendly, and you should...
Read moreThe place looks like any other spin studio attempting to emulate SoulCycle (which shouldn't necessarily be the goal). It's well lit and the staff is friendly. It was my first time at this studio and they left a welcome note on my bike. Nice touch. Check and check. Rental shoes are included in the price of the ride which is always appreciated. The locker area feels very cramped so try to show up a little early to beat the rush. Class sizes are large which I think is a good thing as it provides more competition. The studio is set up to present rider data on the screens behind the instructor but they were off almost the entire ride. HUGE bummer. IMO spin gives you so much more when stats are up so you can push yourself against others in the class. Studio lighting effects were cool. I'll probably be back but hopefully next time there's more rider data and less SoulCycle "sparkle, sunshine, and letting go"...
