Normally I never write a review, but this experience warrants one. After traveling to FL from MO, I was excited to see a Carrabba's Italian Grill. All week I told my family we must eat there before we leave, finally Friday came and we decided to go out for dinner. We arrived and the hostess was pleasant and the wait wasn't long. We were seated before the allotted time and our waiter came right away. We order our food in no time, with our salads arriving quickly also. Then our entrees came out and that's when it went downhill. My niece found a piece of hair in her fettucine, when I advised the waiter all I got was an "oh would you like another one", no APOLOGY no NOTHING. My niece said yes she will take another one, we finished eating (she barely touched the new plate) and asked for the check. To my surprise, the fettucine wasn't taken off the check, so when I asked about it he told me, "well you got another one your taking home". Remaining calm, I asked for the manager, she NEVER came, but he returned with a new check stating we took $12.50 (for the fettucine). Again, I asked to speak to the manager, she finally came, when I explained to her my concerns she instantly caught an attitude and said well we took $12.50 because she ate the $5.99 salad (keep in mind the meal was $17.99 w/salad included). When I tried to explain more, she kept interrupting me, finally when I was able to get a word in and explained the salad was included with the meal and before the $12.50 was taken off she should have came to the table. After, going back and forth, the manager said if it's that big of a deal I'll just take off the $5.99. She snatched the receipt and came back with another one with a new total, she just laid the receipt on the table and walked away, AGAIN NO APOLOGY. I completely understand workers are stressed and spread thin due to the pandemic; however you still have to give a level of customer service. With that being said I felt guilty not leaving the waiter a tip (wasn't as much as I would normally leave though). After this experience, I will not be visiting another Carrabba...
Read moreWe had a party of 7. We were able to make a reservation. We were seated right away and drink orders taken. Dinner orders were taken in a timely manner as well. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The olive oil with herbs and fresh warm bread was excellent. Our server brought us additional bread when she saw we had chowed down the if the two loaves she brought us. We found out they had a VERY large party in back and from this point on it showed. The meals came with soup or salad. We all had the soup. We had the chicken soup which was awesome and minestrone that is flavorful and loaded with fresh vegetables. The size of the soup servings were very generous. We had 3 orders of chicken with fettuccini alfredo. We learned Carrabba's takes special orders as the boys didn't want the veggies (peas and mushrooms) in theirs. They came as ordered but were very light on chicken and were dry. My husband had grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto - cooked to perfection and yummy. His entree, pork tenderloin wrapped with prosciutto was tasty but the pork was overcooked. Two of our party shared the chicken marsala. The staff was very open to it and their meal was perfect. Both enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes as their side. I had the chicken trio which was the Chicken Bryan (terrific!), chicken marsala and polo chicken Maria. I ordered the sauteed broccoli as my side. When it arrived the broccoli was lukewarm at best. The temperature of the meat was not hot but passable. They were apologetic and replaced the broccoli right away. It came steaming hot and overcooked with large chunks of garlic that overwhelmed the taste of the vegetable. I honestly think we hit them on a bad night. We will...
Read moreSo I will begin saying the food was good. But that’s where the goodness ends with this specific carrabbas. It was our last day in Florida for vacation, my family and I decided we wanted to eat there since we had been shopping in the area. Boy was this a mistake. I have never been so disappointed in a place like I was here. Our waitress kept going MIA. Now I understand we were not the only ones there but at the same time. We sat right next to a table she was also waiting on and we arrived before they did with the same amount of people. They were waited on after us but received their drinks and food before us as well as refills. We had to ask other waiters/waitresses for refills. And was never checked on other than to ask how we were splitting the ticket. One of the managers brought our last food order to come out and we told him we haven’t been able to find our waitress he disregarded our comment and ignored us. We were in no way rude by any means and I know you never know what’s going on but the fact we were disregarded on multiple occasions was disrespectful. My family and myself have all been servers at one point so we know what it’s like. We will not be returning to this carrabbas nor will we to any due to this experience. I’m very saddened and I hope we save someone else from this...
