We walked into the Destin Commons location and 3 people were working. Not one person welcomed us or acknowledged us. This was our first time eating at Crumbl. I made eye contact with at least 2 workers, tried to smile… received nothing back. We stood at the register and flailed around at making decisions and we had questions. It was obvious we didn’t know what we were doing. Finally after making eye contact again, I asked if anybody was going to help us? I was answered with a snarky and annoyed tone ”to use any of the kiosks in the store to order”. I almost walked out, but that would have disappointed everyone. I looked past the attitude, thinking someone else may be more helpful, but the other 2 avoided us like the plague. As a first time customer, how do I know what to do? If this is how it’s going to be, at least hang a sign that says, “Welcome, please order at kiosk and we’ll call your name.” This way we don’t have to feel like we are a burden to the staff-who looks completely miserable to be there. And I mean truly miserable, like they hate their job.
1 of the items on display was sold out but I saw a few in the back and new ones being made that we would have waited for. But the kiosk said no and at this point, I was afraid to engage any further. The Oreos had to be made too and became a soggy mess before we even got home 20 minutes later. On top of that, we were handed the box with no thank you, smile, come again, nothing and the box had chocolate all over the outside. Really?
The Macadamia nut cookie wasn’t fully cooked, tasted doughy.
This is the last time we’ll come here. If the cookies were good, I could look past the misery when you walk in here. I truly felt this place was indeed a very sad place to work and you can taste it in the cookie and delivery experience in the store.
I hope everyone working there (including the manager who needs to desperately fix it), can figure out the value of the customer’s order, expectation for such novelty, high priced product and what WE are PAYiNG for. It’s not just the cookie- it’s the experience I can buy something better at Publix with a smile and it will be cheaper. A novelty is only that, if you take care of it. I was going to purchase a second box of 6, but changed my mind due to the attitude and the lack of product available. Cookies did not look like the pictures. Good luck! I read other reviews from the past 5 months after I went there a couple days ago. I actually never write bad reviews… unless I really feel it’s deserved and change is necessary. Based on some reviews I read, nothings changed! I felt like we all experienced...
Read moreWorst customer service I've ever experienced from a Crumbl store! Last night we went in to get the new special banana pudding. The guy behind the counter said they were sold out and yet when he opened the fridge (the one to the left of the counter where I was standing) there was at least one in there. I said what about that one? That's the banana pudding right? He said yes, but I can't sell you that one unless we make a whole other batch? I can ask my manager but I don't think I can sell it. I said please ask your manager. He says ok, I think maybe it'll be ok but I'll ask. He asks the manager and comes back and says "no, I can't sell it and I can't explain why. I'm sorry." The computer system said the product was sold out and the manager wouldn't let the guy sell the product that was actually on the shelf. I'm in disbelief and he doesn't know what to say because he can't explain it in a way that would make sense. He then proceeds to tell my daughter to come back the next day (today) before 2 p.m. because that's when they usually sell out by. So I return today and walk in and the 4 people standing behind the counter never acknowledge that I've walked in to the store and immediately up to the counter UNTIL I ask another customer standing on the wall to my right if I'm invisible and can he see me? At that point one woman behind the counter says yes and quite frankly I'm not sure which question she's answering. Then the young guy walks up and says did you have an order? I had ordered the banana pudding though the app this time. He makes it, leaves a mess of cream on the outside of the container for me to clean up, and hands it over to me. Between the manager not selling product that is clearly not sold out and the lack of customer service, I will not be back and do NOT recommend this store to anyone! There are TOO many other places in Destin and Miramar beach to get great dessert besides this...
Read moreCame in here tonight to get the banana pudding cake cup. Walked in and wasn’t greeted with the normal warm and friendly welcome to crumbl, but overheard a female employee essentially being catty to another employee. Saw that they were out of the cookie I came in for and simply noticed said employee was assembling it and asked if they would be making more ( because I saw her making them) she harshly said nope with a annoyance . If you don’t like your job get another one. Crumble motto is literally “ bringing friends and family together over the worlds best box of cookies” so be happy to do that atleast. Being that I worked at a crumbl and was a manager honestly I’ll never come back to this location for this experience alone and I’ll continue to drive to gulf breeze and get my cookies. Lots of weird vibes and just plain unprofessional attitude was displayed. Again very unfriendly and that’s not how any crumbl I’ve ever been in is. Maybe it’s been a long day but...
