Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Mission

We came here on Friday night to grab some food after a long day traveling. It was pretty close to close when we came thru drive thru and ordered 2 6 piece wing combos. My husband got the habanero ones and I got the sweet chili ones. When we left, we only got 1 6 piece. My sweet chili ones. My husbands order was not bagged. I called and gave my info and a sweet guy named Ivan took my name down and told us to come back annd get our free meal, and even offered to thro in a dessert jar for the trouble. I was told to come back in and my name would be written down for my free meal. We went back last night to do just that, and the girl at the window said our info was not there. She called, I’m assuming a manager, who asked me what happened and I explained what Ivan said. He even called him in front of me and Ivan confirmed he took down my info. They took my order again, but this time made me pay for my wings!! They comped my husbands order at least since he didn’t get his food. Little annoyed at having to pay for their mistake but whatever. $10 for 2 6 piece wings ain’t terrible…. Til we got back to the room again and discovered they got the order wrong AGAIN.. now I’m angry. They gave me a 6 piece of sweet chili and a 6 piece of garlic Parmesan or something stupid like that. So my husband didn’t get his order twice. And now I’m mad I paid for them to get it wrong again. Not worth reaching back out because they’d probably just get it wrong again. Highly disappointed. We love slim chickens but will probably avoid this location...

The food is good. My wife and I usually get the large chicken strip meal and split it- it's plenty of food.

This location, at the particular time/day we went, wasn't great. There was a long line of cars in the drive thru, which happens. Can't fault them for being popular and it was dinner time. So we went inside.

The young guy behind the counter was trying to keep up, ringing people up, handling the drive thru orders and pick ups. So credit to him for trying. He was even very apologetic for our food taking so long. Again, not his fault but it was nice.

The other employee that we could see wasn't really helping. First off, she wasn't wearing her mask (well TECHNICALLY she was wearing it to keep her chin warm) back in the kitchen and later in the dining area where she was just socializing with her friend (after a while they went outside to keep talking) leaving the other guy was trying to keep up.

The dining room was pretty dirty. Tables hadn't been wiped down (i mean, pandemic aside, who wants to sit down at a greasy table with chicken crumbs on it?) and the floor hadn't been mopped or swept. Ms. No Mask, Social Butterfly could've been helping the other poor guy or attending to the dining area. The whole time that we were there (20 minutes maybe) she didn't do anything.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't go back and give it another try, but based on this one visit, ⭐⭐⭐. Good food but lacking in...

100% guarantee is a lie. If you have a problem, they are not accountable. If they make a mistake, they will "forget" to include your receipt so there is no way to register a complaint on the web site. Manager is entitled and can only offer that they are understaffed. No ability to apologize or reconcile. If you enjoy overcooked dry wings and chicken tenders drowned in sauce so that the batter and sauce make a disgusting glob of chicken dough, then this is the place for you. Mac and cheese Tates like wallpaper paste. Also you will have to wait over for them to make your online order for over 10 minutes because they have not even started the order when you arrive at the time instructed. Also if you are upset about them ruining the dinner that your daughter requested for her birthday, you can rest assured you will be treated to only exasperated sarcastic comments about YOU being rude, and sing-song mocking "have a nice day" as you explain that you won't be back and leave. Unprofessional, no accountability, filthy restaurant, degrading to customers, food was bad. We threw it away and went less than one mile to Canes chicken, where we treated with respect by a competent staff, not at all overwhelmed or understaffed. They were 2x times busier than this Slim Chickens location and somehow delivered a great experience....
