I was VERY disillusioned when I went to order at the E. Broadway Subway in Missoula, Mt location. Subway is generally my favorite sandwich place and go to place for lunch. We have been traveling all over the southwest for the last 2 weeks and have been entirely satisfied with our Subway experiences until today in Missoula. When we entered the door, we noticed all the tables were dirty and no one was out front to greet us. There were no other customers present so it wasn't busy at that time. Two employees came out from the back. First off, I requested my usual multi-grain bread (off the listed choices) to which the girl helping me replied that they didn't have multi-grain. So I chose Italian bread. As I began to order the toppings, I noticed that the sandwich prep area was cluttered with toppings from previous customers and hadn't been cleaned off as is the normal procedure in other Subway franchises I've been to. I, then, noticed the cucumbers were frozen, the lettuce looked bad and wilty, and there was some old orange sauce that had run down and dried on the inside of the glass and no one had bothered to clean it off. I requested honey mustard for a sandwich spread, which they didn't have, so then I requested mayonnaise. There was no mayonnaise out front so the other person helping went to get some. Read moreI Ordered 2 sandwiches thru the app and when I picked them up the guy who brought them out neglected to tell me they were on the wrong bread because he ran out of all bread but flatbread. Not a big deal. If he had something. By the time I drove home and realized my sandwich was wrong and drove back to subway they had fresh bread which is funny to me that he didn’t offer me the chance to wait a few minutes to get the bread I ordered. It would have taken less time to wait for fresh bread that I ordered then to drive home and back. Not a big deal but when I went in and told him my order was wrong he acted as if I made my sandwich myself wrong and was like well that’s all I had and acted as if I was SOL. Not only was it the wrong bread but one of sandwiches had the completely wrong condiments and veggies. Then he said I’d have to wait for him to serve the 6 people in line for him to remake my sandwiches he made wrong intentionally in the first place. I said no problem and sat down and waited. after about ten minutes I did ask for a refund and he refused and said he’d just made my sandwiches and I’d have to wait for him to finish. They had no lettuce for my veggie delight only telling me this well into the process and after taking my money. Every ingredient in the case was suspect. Then as I was leaving the kid who took my money who had ran outside rite aftereards was getting high with some transiants like 6 feet from the door( at least I know why he was in such a hurry now). I ended up throwing sandwich away, it was nothing close to what I went in for and I question the cleanliness of the whole establishment at this point (I would have walked out if I hadn't paid to soon).
