My husband and I were visiting from Las Vegas. Even though we have a Giordano’s in LV, it tastes so much better in IL. I had originally made an online order (stuffed pizza) but realized I ordered just cheese and forgot to add sausage. How can you order a Giordano's stuffed pizza without sausage?? SMH. When I went inside to pick up our order, I had spoken with Mistie. I had explained to her my mistake and she informed me that I would have to purchase another pizza with sausage. I told her that it was my mistake and that was not a problem. Michele (manager) was also there and when I mentioned we were from LV, she said “you know we have a location in LV?” We mentioned we tried it there before but it never tastes the same. She stated it’s because of the water and climate. Which made perfect sense. Plus we were also bringing home a pizza for a friend, so wanted it to be correct. My husband had noticed that they had a freezer of frozen stuffed pizza and we had asked Mistie if she would recommend those over a fresh pizza. She mentioned that she would get someone from the back to answer that question. She and a gentleman by the name of Odis came back to the front. We had explained to him that we were going to bring the pizza home with us (to Las Vegas) and asked if a fresh pizza or a frozen one would be best, since we would have to freeze the fresh one anyways. Odis was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful advising that in our case it would be best to take home a frozen one (as they are made in IL) so it would taste the same as the fresh. Also, it would protect from any airborne illness (since the frozen one was already sealed.) Glad we had asked, as it made our decision easier and got the frozen. Odis definitely made our experience more enjoyable. Thank you so much for your generosity, Odis. We can’t thank you enough for turning my original mistake into something so much more memorable. When we are in town again, we will come visit this...
Read more✨🙌🏽Happy Monday Precious Souls of God😃. What blessing for The Lord to be alive another day!!! Soooo...I was not asked by anyone that owns or works for the establishment to do this review. God knows I desired to do it myself. My child & I had a very welcoming, pleasant & wonderful experience few plus Thursdays ago at this location. The main name I remember is Brian (a considerate & wonderful sever). Also, the cooks, cashier & other servers were wonderful as well. Brian was on top of everything just for us. He listened; he accommodated; and cared enough to check in with us.
Now the caesar salad may have been a "plain choice for others" but it was just right for me. My child wanted the deep dish pizza stuff with plenty of veggies and a little meat. So, I'm not a Chicago style pizza eater; but more NY style (although a Chicago native😄). I still enjoyed the time with my child, the food & the wonderfully exceptional service Brian provided that day to us. I let The Lord know I felt some type of way. Although it was early in the day it was not a lot of patrons present.
I pondered...And uber eats; door dash; grubhub, etc. online services may be causing the "mom & pop"; family owned; small businesses etc. to be financially affected in a negative manner. Plus people miss out on making genuine, human connections by not supporting these places in person. Yes, people can order Giordano's online; but a lot goes missing & missed out on when sitting down at least monthly or every other month to be serviced by someone like Brian. Mokena Giordano's employee's please know God knows y'all don't live a life unnoticed. Consider supporting in person as your household budget can afford it. God bless all His precious souls on this side of...
Read moreI am typically the type of person who goes and sits at Lou Malnati's in Tinley Park because the New Lenox location doesn't have tables inside, just take out. I didn't feel like driving to Tinley Park as I live in Frankfort, so I decided to give Giordano's a chance; boy did I make a HUGE mistake. I came in Saturday 05/28/2022 around 7:30 p.m. and had a large meat pizza with black olives. The service was mediocre as there was one girl working every table.l, but the pizza was awful.. There was oil and grease running out from the pizza and all over the cardboard they present the pizza to you on. I ate one slice and took the rest home for my significant other for when she got home from working 14 hours. When she got home an hour after I did with the pizza, we couldn't get the pizza off of the cardboard. The cardboard had stuck to the little bit of crust the pizza had and now she was forced to eat scrambled pizza. We had to pry it from the cardboard as the crust stuck and the toppings seperated.. This is the WORST pizza I have ever had. Not to mention I spent $75 on a pizza and 1 beer. Do not waste your time and go ahead and make the drive to Lou Malnati's in Tinley Park or order take-out from the Lou Malnati's in New Lenox. I will never spend another dollar at Giordano's due to this...
