Pop's Italian Beef & Sausage — Restaurant in Mokena

My family has been utilizing the pops franchise for years for catering parties, etc. This weekend, I wanted to do something nice for my employees and buy them food, so I reached out to purchase 200+ hotdogs and fries, because let’s support local business, so $650 well spent. Unfortunately, the service was combative and negative when we picked up order and I didn’t feel they appreciated the business. I was early for the last order because they closed at 8pm and I didn’t want to keep them. I had no problem waiting, but the girl just argued and said nothing is ready, you are early. I continued to say, no problem, I am early. She just made a huge deal yelling at cook and her team, it was sad. Mind you, the 3 employees were standing at the counter with no extra guests, everything was planned out a week in advanced and paid in the morning. Just wish the were thankful for the business. I had ordered a beef sandwich with natural juice to go and when I arrived back home I received red sauce instead of natural sauce. I quickly called back and told them that I received the wrong sauce and they said that I could come back to pick up the right sauce about 5 miles away or I could get a credit on a beef sandwich over the phone. So I said a beef sandwich would be great. So today I went back to get a credited beef sandwich and gave them my name and to buy another beef with the natural sauce. They told me that they would only give me credit for the sauce and not the sandwich. Not a very happy customer....... I will never eat at another POPS BEEF AGAIN. Beside the 3 guys in the back cooking who could not stop giggling and looking towards the customers the establishment and whispering things to each other the place looked nice and clean. I got a super Italian beef and asked for hot giardiniera. What I got was a cup full of nothing but jalapenos and one piece of celery. When I asked the girl at the front counter about this she told me "We sell giardiniera if you want some, otherwise that what we make here". She definitely had an attitude and simply offered to replace my cup with the same thing. I've eat giardiniera many time throughout my life. This isn't it. Won't be coming back here. The owner must not care.
