We love our local Monroe Mcalisters! Joshua is one of our favorite servers, as is Lori, Michelle, Rob and Kalei. The staff is so personable, friendly as well as professional. The restaurant is always clean and the tables are always bussed. Every time that we come in, we are always greeted with smiles and treated with respect. Each one of the people named has gone out of their way and on more than one occasion, have made our dining experience that much more pleasurable with that little something extra that Mcalisters is known for.

I love that they stop by the table just to see how we’re doing, as well as asking if we need refills or if we need anything at all. I will always recommend this awesome restaurant. It is so hard to find people that are genuinely happy to see you when you walk in, And treat you well. Our Monroe Mcalisters has become our favorite restaurant to go to in Union county, hands-down. The food is always delicious, hot and served to our table quickly and efficiently. We truly appreciate all the efforts of each person mentioned. If you want fresh made deli style sandwiches , soup , salads , stuffed potatoes & more this is the place . McAlister's Deli has a great menu of fresh items . We dined with friends on a Sunday for lunch , although it was very busy the staff at McAlister's handled the crowd well & got orders taken & food served in a timely manner . Some of our party had the broccoli cheese soup which they said was delicious. Our party also had nachos which were tasty . I had a turkey sandwich on a multigrain bun with ample turkey, lettuce, tomato , avocado, and it was divine . I also had chicken tortilla soup which was good . My husband enjoyed a Angus roast beef sandwich & chips that he is still raving about how good it was . There is plenty of seating & parking here . Beverages are refilled at the counter. They also have a dessert menu if you have room . We got a slice of carrot cake & shared between us , it was rich , lightly spiced , moist beyond belief , and tasted divine . This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere & is family friendly . The iced tea is excellent here & that is a plus for me where ever I dine . We used to be regular customers here, but the quality has flat out disappeared. We ordered online to pick up in store. When we picked up our order, we found a cold, hard potato with barely any toppings. The macaroni and cheese side wasn't even a third of the container. When we questioned what we were given considering their increase in price, the manager then argued that "they have always filled containers like this and any more toppings on the potato would be toppings with a side of potato." I'm not sure if the manager needed to have their eyes checked, but the meat wasn't even visible. It was just olives, a tiny bit of cheese, and green onions. At that point we requested a refund. The manager still argued with us. At that point, we questioned why there was a service charge on our bill as well since no one took our order in person and no one served us. We picked our food up from a shelf. The manager tried to tell us that all restaurants have a service charge if you order online. This is absolutely false. Especially since I have online order receipts FROM THIS RESTAURANT without a service charge within the last year. I'm tired of being lied to, taken advantage of, and argued with as a customer that was trying to support...
