Review for Taqueria La Bamba
If youâre looking for a spot where the tacos are as legendary as the vibes, Taqueria La Bamba is IT. Letâs talk about the bar for a secondâitâs like your best friendâs living room, but with better drinks and no judgment if you order a second round of margaritas at 3 PM. Cozy? Check. Inviting? Double check.
And the happy hour? Oh. My. Guac. Itâs like theyâre practically giving the drinks away. Where else can you get top-notch cocktails for the price of a gas station burrito? (No shade to gas station burritos, but you know what I mean.)
The bartenders? Absolute legends. Theyâll whip you up a drink so good, youâll consider naming your firstborn after them. And donât even get me started on the taco pairingsâbecause yes, tacos are their own food group here.
So, if youâre not already running to La Bamba, what are you even doing with your life? Go for the vibes, stay for the happy hour, and leave with a belly full of tacos and a heart full of joy. 10/10...
Read moreUPDATE - Sept 2024 Taqueria La Bamba has upgraded their space and their flavors!! Had a quesabirria tonight that was easily top 3 (I eat a lot of Mexican food). Flavorful birria soup/sauce, crispy meat with melted cheese on a dipped tortilla⊠perfection.
And⊠they have LEGITIMATELY hot house-made hot sauce. Guessing 100k+ scovilles based on my experience. Itâs the dark, dark hot sauce on the quad-tray.
Amazing dinner tonight. Keep it coming, La Bamba!!

This is our âgo toâ in Monroe. Former food truck turned restaurant, La Bamba is authentic and awesome. They have some great traditional dishes you canât find other places in town like the pozole (pictured). It is made with pork, hominy, spices and served with fixinâs. Definitely worth a try!! Family loves the sopes. Another high...
Read moreThe most authentic Mexican food I've found in this state, so far! Their spicy pork tacos are amazing. Everything I've had there tastes exactly like my friend's mom just made it - awesome. It's always a good sign when you walk into a place like that, and all of the customers are Latin. I've never actually stayed there to eat, only gotten stuff to go. They package it very thoughtfully so nothing drips, they put cellophane on the bottom of the plates, so nothing leaks through. When's the last time you got Mexican food to go and there wasn't salsa everywhere?! The answer is never. But if you go here, they'll make sure you have no mess! Extremely delicious food, and the staff is very friendly, helpful and sweet. It's worth the drive to Monroe - I live in Redmond - we still come...
