Vince's Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Monroe

My family and I made a visit for my birthday. This place was very busy for lunchtime, and quieter than most- they have some sound dampeners on the ceiling that seemed make quite a difference, which was very nice. All of our dishes were very tasty, hot, solid presentations, just the right portion size, even for hungry patrons. I got the combo lasagna, at first I was a little unhappy at what seemed like a small portion size, but find that it's very solid, and extremely filling. I couldn't have eaten any more, and I was very hungry that day. The sauces on it were very tasty and fresh. Plenty of parking. They have a well stocked bar. The waiter was very friendly, and very very attentive. 6*. The place is smaller, making it easier to have great service. Food was pretty fast outta the kitchen. Drinks were filled regularly, quickly. Salads were really good, and I'm not even a salad person- very fresh, tasty, the more healthy, mixed greens type, clean, and very fresh. I got a piece of tiramasu to take home- it was fluffy, with lots of coffee liquer, a little different than I make it, but excellent. Prices seemed a little high, but they're competitive and in the end, are a very, very good value. This place must be very popular with locals, but we also saw several people from out of town as well. If I was coming in for dinner, I would make a reservation. This place would be great for a date night. Thank you to Vince's! Keep up...

Love the food, but terrible customer service! They don't care.

My advice, do not get carry out.

Twice in a row our order has been incorrect significantly. And they were short with me on the phone when I asked for a correction. Salads for every dinner were forgotten, as were desserts. And, the best part is, the most they wanted to offer was a $5 credit towards the next purchase. They did not even want to compensate for the cost of the food withheld.

I called this order in hours early, had them read me back the order twice (because the last order placed months ago was not correct ), and they did not even give me the right pasta dinner (I ordered eggplant parmigiana and they gave me portabella ravioli). Both meals are delicious, so I do not mind that error so much.

But if there's one thing I cannot accept, it's bad customer service. I have worked in food service and believe strongly that happy customers, are repeat customers.

I am not happy.

Carry out orderers - be prepared to have your order not assembled correctly and I strongly suggest checking it completely before you leave. I do not think this responsibility should be on the customer, but do not count on them caring one bit if they are at fault for neglecting your order.

Lastly, but not major, the bread sticks are seriously small and four of them are not worth $3.99 + tax. They are maybe five inches? And they taper at each end to crusty,...

I can name the cities with the 5 best pizzas I've ever had..Amsterdam, San Francisco, Augusta(ME), Ames, and Madison. (sorry NYC, never been)

My second night in Monroe I ordered pizza, delivered from Vince's. After a long day of unpacking, I was hungry. The pizza arrived in good time and at a good price. The good ends there. There was crust, sauce, plenty of cheese and pepperoni. Absent was any imagination..nary a pinch of love. I don't believe there was so much as a sprinkle of herb throughout. It seemed so .. commodity. Plain to tears. Potential. But. Not. I don't often discard pizza, however, I did in this case.

Despite the pizza experience, I decided to dine-in at Vince's, before going on about the pizza alone. This experience saved 3 stars. I ordered an Italian Beef sandwich with hot giardinera and fries. Wow, I have to say, I very much enjoyed the sandwich. And the fries. Next time I might ask to substitute some vinaigrette in place of the jus. Not a cheap sandwich, but it does deliver. I suppose the well cooked fries (standard crinkle cut) helped seal the deal. I was pleased they had Moretti Lager on hand. The service was nice. Feels a bit dated inside, comfortable enough though. Outdoor seating is available.

Overall, I'll be back in to try other items. Just know it won't be...
