Came by today and ordered food to-go for a late lunch. Plenty of street parking on a Wednesday afternoon, around 3pm.
We ordered three lobster rolls for two people since several reviewers mentioned these rolls are very small. We are so glad we trusted those reviews and orders an extra roll to share with my husband. The buns are very small, about 5.5” long, stuffed with a good amount of lobster meat. The complementary prickle and coleslaws were delicious, which is a plus!
Specialty rolls are priced at $22.99 each. They also offer three different classic Connecticut/Maine/New England style rolls, and those are priced at $20.99 each.
Deep South specialty lobster roll : love the sweet, salty, and spicy mix of flavors. The jalapeños are not too spicy, almost mild since they are candied.
King Louis XIII Slspecialty lobster roll: their aoli was the perfect touch with prosciutto and fresh lobster meat.
Italian specialty lobster roll: this roll was more of a basic roll since it was very dry. It was missing the pesto aoli sauce. Very little mozzarella cheese, better if priced at $20.99
Lobster bisque was not worth $10. There was a small piece of lobster claw and did not come with any oyster crackers.
Yukon Rosemary Potatoes we’re priced at $4.99 and we got 5 golf ball sz potatoes.
Overall, we would visit again. Customer service was excellent! We would definitely visit again to try out other specialty rolls. Hopefully without missing...
Read moreLET ME TELL YOU GUYS THIS WAS THE BEST LOBSTER ROLL I’VE EVER EATEN .. I SAID WOWWWW ! I first checked the reviews before ordering and they live up to their customer service. Amanda and K. (I didn’t want to butcher the spelling) were the sweetest.
I usually love my food super seasoned and the last time I ordered from “jacks lobster shack” it was alright but I wanted more than just garlic and butter, I specially asked to season with old bay to add an extra kick. I then asked for it in the pick-up notes and they blessed my plate. It’s not even a Sunday yall. The tragedy to this story is that food is now digested and gone. I nearly inhaled my sandwich. If I have to travel next time to get my lobster roll I will do just that cause MYSTIC LOBSTER ROLL MONTCLAIR is the best to ever do it.
P.s I’m still dreaming about my already eaten roll, next time I’ll get the mighty mystic or just two rolls thank me...
Read moreThis is the second time that I went to try this so called awesome lobster roll place but just to find out they are not open again. I don’t know why that is. First time was in September on a Wednesday and went there around noon. Door was closed and you guys are supposed to open at 11:30. Some guy was also trying to get his order which he placed online. Poor guy. Today I decided to give it a second attempt but same thing. I was there at 11:55 and then door was closed and sign also said closed. I am not sure if you are doing business or not but this is upsetting. Don’t think it is a reliable...
