Zero Stars if Possible – This Place is a Culinary Dumpster Fire

Tom’s Watch Bar at Mohegan Sun is the definition of a restaurant cash grab: trash food, rude service, and a sneaky 4% “service fee” to make sure you pay extra for the privilege of being insulted.

The Food – Straight Garbage: • Poke Bowl – Imagine biting into uncooked, chalky rice glued together with tasteless slime and topped with chewy tuna that had all the charm of an old rubber band. Calling it a “poke bowl” is borderline fraud. • Fried Pickles – Dripping wet with grease like someone pulled them out of a used deep fryer at a gas station. Soggy, vile, and inedible. • Potstickers – Supposedly “pan-seared,” but what arrived was limp dumplings drowning in soy sauce soup. Zero texture. Zero sear. Zero care. • Burger – My girlfriend’s bun was so soaked in grease it could have lubricated a car engine. That’s not food, that’s a hazard.

The Service – Rude and Checked Out: • No silverware. Another staff member had to pity-drop some on our table. • When we asked for extra plates, the waiter practically threw them at us. Not fully, but with enough attitude to make the point: “You’re bothering me.” • The waitress looked annoyed the entire time, like serving customers was a personal inconvenience.

The Scam Fee – Bold and Pathetic: They tack on a 4% “service fee” to “cover rising costs.” Translation: “We know the food is disgusting, the service is trash, and the experience is insulting, but hey—pay us extra for the suffering.” It’s not a restaurant, it’s a robbery with appetizers.

The Vibe – Dead on Arrival: The place already feels like it’s failing. No energy, no warmth, no quality, no pride. Just greasy, lazy food shoved out the kitchen and rude staff phoning it in until this place shuts its doors for good.

Final Word: Tom’s Watch Bar is a culinary dumpster fire charging you extra to watch it burn. This place will fail, and frankly, it deserves to. Avoid it like food poisoning—because that’s the only thing they seem...

After 3 years gave it another try.We went down for breakfast on Monday knowing they stop serving at 11 it was 1030. We waited ten minutes before the hostess came over and was told they stop serving breakfast at 11. I said it's 1040 and was told I can sit at bar and it's 1st come 1st serve. I'm like there's nobody here but us. This is not the first time we've had issues. The place could be a gold mine because they only have two sit down breakfast establishments at Mohegan Sun. We went to Johnny Rockets and sat down immediately. Had a very nice breakfast. (Original revie from 3 years ago) I go to the casino several times a month and there are very few breakfast choices. We've been here about ten times. The first few times were good and it has progressively gotten worse. Today was it though the first waitress seemed like a dear and took our order than a second one came and said I'm your server. I said ok we just gave our order to her and was asked to now repeat it. We waited ten minutes for the first waitress and still no coffee and second waitress ten minutes no coffee. Here comes the coffee oops no cream. So 5 minutes later recieved our cream. Food comes and it's cold no syrup for French toast oops I'll be back. She comes back with syrup and I asked for a refill for our coffee. She took our cups and had other cups from another table. I've never seen this before, anywhere. They always come to the table with a pot and pour. She comes back and I tell her I dont want those coffees. She asked why and I explained, she replied that's weird I knew which ones they were. The rest isnt worth explaining. It's Mother's Day weekend so the casino is flooded with hungry happy people!! Every restaurant has a wait time unless you made reservations! We often visit Tom's Urban and can't believe this is my first review!! Well the menu has a variety of food!! The vibe is lit to say the least!! Music Playlist always on point!! Plenty of big TV's, bar space and dining area to enjoy your night from all angles!!! We did place our name on list to be seated...wait time was 40 minutes to an hour. After about 10 minutes or so we realized we never recvd the text confirming our reservations. Upon returning to verify the phone number which she misunderstood and entered wrong. That was quickly rectified, we were accommodated quickly due to the error!! We ordered apps only!! Adobe chicken and braised short ribs nachos!!! Very tasty, large portion but we had to send them back due to short rib being cold. Our server gladly replaced them apologized and made us aware we were correct, burner was out on warmer for meat!! Once it was corrected nachos were great. Also ordered crispy calamari, too much breading and not enough calamari. With my hubby being Italian he was a bit critical 😬!
