I posted this to Facebook and thought I would add it here as well. Enjoy!
"I thought I might share my experience at Poke Bros. Mooresville, off of Hwy 150 in the Food Lion shopping center, across from McDonalds and Lowes Hardware with the group. I went yesterday. I've ordered from them several times, however, I wasn't sure where they were located. I'm glad I went in! The restaurant is very clean and the employees immediately welcomed me before the door had a chance to close behind me. It's the holidays and you never know the service you will get. Service people look warn out all the time. LOL Well, that wasn't the case this time.
The items are displayed right in front of you, so choosing what I wanted was easy. Everything looked fresh! I chose the "Build Your Own Bowl (my compliments to the chef... MYSELF!) 😁 If you have never been there, they have suggested/Signature Bowls available as well. They also have Ramen and Udon (I hope I spelled that correctly), as well as Boba Tea, Seaweed Salad, Mochi Ice Cream, and KIDS BOWLS.
Anyway, I have a seafood allergy and they were very careful when preparing my bowl! Personally, I love their tofu, so I went with that and and chicken with white rice and ponsu sauce and a side of their creamy siracha. I'm not one for any kind of spice but I tried the creamy siracha and it was yummy. I'm just obsessed with the ponsu sauce! I appreciate them letting my try the siracha on the side. My bowl was DELICIOUS. Everything in it was fresh, flavorful, and beautiful in color. Though it was a light meal, I was completely full, setting a bit to the side to eat later.
So, if you are looking for a place to eat-in or order from, I highly recommend Poke Bros. for Christmas Eve...
Read moreApologizing in advance for the slightly blurry pictures. But we were in a hurry to dig in. We were heading home from a road trip and my husband suggested this place. I was a little skeptical at first but encouraged by the positive reviews. And I am so glad I gave it a try.
The setup is similar to Chipotle. They have a build your own bowl option where you choose your rice, toppings, and protein. They do have some suggested bowls as well. The ladies taking our order were very patient as we fumbled through ordering with kiddos who kept changing their minds.
Covid protocols were clearly in place with masks being required. In addition, the entire ordering area was separated from the seating area by thick plastic draped down.
All of our bowls were delicious and fresh tasting. They were hearty portion sizes. When I finished my bowl the next day, it still tastes just as fresh, including the avocado which had not browned. I definitely plan to return again soon.
Pro-tip: The menu is very well laid out, with gluten-free toppings and sauces...
Read moreThis is only a 4.8 stars if you're grabbing a healthier fast food meal on the run. We drove 35 minutes to sample Poke Bros based on the great reviews. Modest helpings and sauce heavy; the fish alone was tasteless. (Sauces are a great way to cover up tasteless older or poorer quality fish.) 100% plastic, ready to go. Don't expect to be uplifted; staff aren't a happy lot and they don't like questions or straying off their "Signature" (standard) bowl recipes; the unhappy attitude would be a management issue. No alcohol, of course--it's fast food. I will say the mochi were better than average. However, bigger servings, fresher fish, more delicate sauces, sake, Japanese beer AND a full bar, and much happier, knowledgeable staff having a good time (and sometimes a real DJ) are available just a few miles away in Cornelius at Cool Fish; definitely worth the drive. Total prices for meals will be about the same, maybe maybe 5% less...
