We came here Friday May 2nd for dinner with some friends visiting from out of town. We didn't know there was going to be a band but as soon as we ordered drinks, they fired up and started playing. The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was very good. BUT, the band, whoever allowed the music to be played as loud as it was should be fired. I have been front row at numerous concerts and it was quieter than what was being played. Two middle-aged women singing Taylor Swift songs had absolutely no reason to be as loud as they were, especially when it was only 7 oclock. We had planned to hang out for a few hours and drink and catch up with out friends. As soon as our food came, we got our checks and bounced. The music being so loud lost the server a good amount of money as we had planned to stay much longer. I promise I'm not being out of line, laying in bed that night my ears were ringing like never before. Having to yell at the waitress who is right next to me to make my order does no help to her or the customer. Otherwise everything else was literally perfect. Highly recommend coming here for the food and service. If whatever band was playing on this day is playing there, go to Legends like we did(which is owned by the...
Read moreI checked out this place on Halloween afternoon. This place used to be the old O'Leary's bar and the layout is almost exactly the same. The only thing that has changed is the bar is different, so it has more room for customers and easier access for staff. The atmosphere of the place was okay. Something seemed unenthusiastic or dull, but that could have just been a lull after the Halloween festivities the night before. The menu is straightforward, usual pub grub with an emphasis on pizza. It looks like they also have a pizza buffet sometime during the week. I ordered the Western burger, which was a decent sized burger with bacon, cheese, and a delicious sauce. This was probably the best part of my Murphys experience. The staff were very nice and polite, but not always the most attentive. Overall, it was an okay experience, with the food really shining through. Not a bad place to stop to watch the game and okay for...
Read moreNOT the place to go, if you're hungry. I really got PISSED, when an older couple who came in long after I did were enjoying their burgers, while still waited for mine. I was about to finish my mug of Shandy, pay for it, then split- FINALLY, my beer-cheese burger n tots appeared. It didn't taste as good as it sounded on the menu, and it damn-sure wasn't worth the 45 minute wait for $16.00. Tip left - ZILCH.
Update, 10/1 - CONTRARY to the owner's response, I was NOT advised of a 30-45 minute wait time for my food! I did mention to the server delivering my food, it would have been NICE to have had a heads-up, if the kitchen was backed up. My interactions with the staff were MINIMAL. 20-20 Hindsight sez I should have remained silent, put $5 under my empty mug, then walked to DQ for a better, cheaper, burger. Be rest-assured Mr. Owner, I will not darken the doorway of...
