I'm not one who usually posts bad reviews, but tonight's event needs to be shared. We had a great time at the movies and wanted to eat right after, so we decided on Nonno's since its so close to the movies. I've been there before, and although the food was mediocre, it was edible, and we were hungry.
We were seated right away. The restaurant was nearly empty. The waitress took our drink order, brought the drinks, and took the food order. We requested our 7 year old son's order come out as soon as it was ready. It came out within 5 minutes, great. We were served our salads, and realized we did not have any silverware. After we flagged the waitress down, she looked surprised to learn of this, despite she had been over to our table twice already, but brought us silveware so we could finally eat.
I noticed we did not receive any bread, but did not make a big deal out of it.
I'm not sure how much time passed, but once I started checking my watch, at least 15 more minutes passed before the food finally arrived. I can honestly say at least 15 minutes, if not more, had passed before I started checking. As I mentioned, the restaurant was almost empty, but my real concern was that the waitress never once checked on us, apologized for the food taking so long, or made any attempt to communicate.
When the food arrived, my daughter's order was incorrect. She had ordered marinara sauce, and it came with alfredo. The waitress should have taken the plate back immediately, but she instead fussed with her pad, and made it seem a huge inconvenince, so my daughter felt bad and said she would keep it. We started eating. My wife's stromboli was ice cold, but she also decided to let it go, because we had already waited so long and wanted to eat.
Our son had a little left over marinara sauce from his meal, and my daughter added it to her dish. She ate a little, and wanted to have a little more, so we asked the waitress if she could just have a small thing of sauce to add to her incorrect dish. The waitress walked away, then came back, and said she would have to charge us for it, but she didn't know why.
At this point I became upset. I said you got the order wrong and we didn't send it back, we never got our bread, all we want is a little marinara sauce to add to her plate to make up for the incorrect order. Can I please speak to the manager? The waitress left.
I was watching the time at this point, after everything that had happened. No exaggeration, 15 minutes passed before the waitress returned and asked if we wanted boxes. I said where is the mananager? She looked surprised, and said, didn't she stop by? I told her you wanted to talk to her when I left earlier.
I said not only hasn't the manager come over, but you never brought the marinara sauce. I will pay for it if I have to, but we've been waiting all this time for it. She said she would find out why the manager didn't come by. She did bring the small dish of sauce.
Ten more minutes passed, and no manager stopped over. We were all upset at this point, and rather than make a bigger deal at the restaurant, I flagged the waitress down and asked for boxes and the check. Another 15 passed before we left, during which the manager still had not made an appearance.
I've never experienced a restaurant where the manager will not stop over when you ask to speak to them. I cannot find words to describe my disappointment and shock at this extremely poor customer service.
I've sent a message on the restaurant's "contact" page to show the owner, and if someone replies, I will update my review to share what was said. As it is, I cannot recommend anyone eat here, and if you do, hopefully you won't require the...
Read moreI would like to start this review off by stating that the restaurant is beautiful and the pizza is delicious, however, I had a horrible experience at this restaurant on 09.19.25 around 7:10pm-7:15pm. My husband wanted to take me out for my birthday and we always get takeout from this restaurant but never dined in so we wanted to give it a try because of the beautiful view. When we entered, the hostess was very nice. We were seated outside as requested. Our waitress who’s name is Kayla briefly greeted us then seemed annoyed when I asked what non alcoholic beverages they offer as they do not list their non alcoholic beverages on the menu, and only have a list of alcoholic beverages. We ordered and received our salads with no utensils and our waitress rushed off before we can even ask. My husband had to go inside and ask someone else on the staff for basic utensils. Our waitress did not return to our table to give us napkins or to check up on us once. We saw that she went to the table across from us twice but refused to acknowledge us for some reason. Our entrees were given to us by a different waitress. We barely ate due to this upsetting situation and asked someone else that was passing by to please provide us with the bill because our waitress was nowhere to be found. After asking for the bill, which was also given to us from someone else, our waitress finally showed up to collect the bill, chuckled as she said “my bad for disappearing on you guys” and walked away. I felt extremely disgusted at her behavior towards us. I tried to give her the benefit of doubt assuming that the restaurant might be busy inside but as we were leaving we noticed that the restaurant was not busy whatsoever. I still tipped her regardless of her horrible service but I now wish that I never did. It’s a beautiful restaurant with great pizza. The Chicken alfredo and Shrimp francese was mediocre but what I cannot condone is the lack of service and disrespect from this waitress. Due to this disgusting experience I will never go back to this restaurant to dine in and would not recommend it to anyone, as I did not feel welcomed and...
Read moreWe have been going here since it opened. The food was always top notch, the service was always top notch. Today I have probably experienced the worst experience EVER in my entire life going to a restaurant. It took over 15 minutes for a server to ask us what type of drinks we wanted. We placed our order and waited over an HOUR to get our food. I had to ask the server (when she would finally walk by once every 15 minutes) when our food would be ready and she kept giving me the same excuse as it will be ready in just a minute ( 3 times I asked). There were 5 in my party, she brought out a basket of rolls with 3 (yes 3) rolls in it. There wasn't any silverware on our table, when I asked for some she gave us 4 sets (once again there were 5 of us) Finally after waiting over an HOUR for our food I came back after stepping outside and saw my family eating ( thinking to myself, awesome I can FINALLY eat the chicken parmigiana I ordered. I sit down and my spot is empty with NO FOOD. 10 minutes goes by and our server comes and asks how everything is and if she can get us anything. I said yes my dinner would be nice. She says yes it should be ready in a minute. She comes back only to tell me she forgot to put my order in and she could put it in now. At this point I am FURIOUS. I said no thanks just take it off my bill my family was almost done with their food. I went and talked to the manager who was very polite and helpful ( unlike Nikki our server who seemed to have a bit of attitude towards me, because I was a paying customer whom was upset my FOOD was never served to me) The manager apologized on the servers behalf and adjusted our bill accordingly and gave us a gift card ( I may use it if I decide to eat there ever again) . So my experience today was horrible. Luckily for NIKKI our server, my girlfriend unfortunately left you a tip even though I was totally against it, but she decided to leave it anyway. As for me if my girlfriend wasn't there I wouldn't have left you a dime. I understand everyone has a bad day, but the service, or shall I say lack of service I experienced today you didn't deserve a dime...
