Worst customer service! I was trying to add a new line and get a phone for my son’s birthday today. Soon as I got there I signed in as usual and there was no one else in there. The young guy who was there today 8/22/24 around 5 pm was great but as I was waiting to get a pass code for an old phone he proceeded to wait on the next customer which was totally fine. He told the other guy who was working an older man that I needed help next. The older man completely ignored him and helped the couple that came in after me. I didn’t say anything I waited patiently. Assuming I would be next after now being there for an hour my name was no longer on the sign in screen he asked for the next person to come up. When I tried to tell him that I was there first and had been waiting he said he is going by the name on the screen which mine had disappeared from Being there so long but instead of him listening to me explain he cut me off and said I would be next and did I want to argue about it very rudely! The man he was trying to help instead of me told Him that I was there first. After this I walked out because no thanks after the attitude I was just giving I no longer want to deal with your or your service. Thanks to this rude man my son did not get a new phone on his birthday and if that is the attitude he has maybe it’s time for him to retire. Funny thing is he is the one who helped sign me in so he should have known I was there ahead of the other people. I waited close to 2 hours today and finally left after the 2 employees working decided to tell the 20 customers (approx) in the store that it wasn't their fault and we should all basically take it or leave. The sign in when you enter could work except for the fact that the system does not show how many people already have reservations. You enter on the wait list not having any idea there might be 4 or 6 or 8 people coming in with reservations after you place your name on the list. Also, it took them a really long time to activate new phone customers. One older couple there today for almost 2 hours with one transaction. Ridiculous! I've decided to disconnect and go to Verizon after today. They don't seem to want to make things more efficient. At least 10 people came in to return equipment that didn't need to be there. You can return equipment at the UPS store without a box or label but nobody told them. That's 10 people added to the wait list. One guy waited over an hour to make a payment because the payment machine only takes cash. He eventually left as well. Its not necessarily the employees fault but it is Spectrums. They need more people and someone to teach them how to become more efficient and customer focused. They...
Read moreI purchased a new phone for my son at this store. While doing so, I was offered insurance. I specifically asked if their insurance covered everything, water, spills, breaks, everything and specifically water due to the fact the last one was lost in the ocean. I was ensured it was by three different employees which is why I chose to accept the insurance through spectrum instead of through Apple. The phone is now damaged. If I would have lied and stated the phone was lost, it would have been replaced. However since I was honest, I'm being told theres nothing they can do. I have spent countless hours on the phone with the insurance company and spectrum to fix this situation to no resolve. I have gone to the store where they told me there was nothing they could do, there was no manager there nor at a local office they could call. So I now have a new phone, with insurance that I purchased under FALSE PRETENSES. This is a very very poor way to run a business. If the employees are not trained correctly to deliver the correct information, the store should rectify this situation but instead, I was told I was out of luck.
