I am beyond lucky to work here and I know I am privileged in the fact that there are no other people my age (18) that have a better job. I am treated with the upmost respect and always given a chance to put my own opinions in the mix. I lead the free art crafts on community night and am always given free rein with creativity. I also work brunch shifts and am always happy to meet new customers. While I may seem bias, I promise you that this is the truth when I say this place has become a second home. There are no other places that have the same atmosphere and true feel of community the second you walk in the door. The manager, Stephen, is always walking around checking on people, and is extremely caring and accepting to the homeless, as much as he can be. I truly love The Art Bar and am so happy and proud to be able to say I work there as I watch it continue to grow and thrive each day. When I first met Stephen, before I even started working there, he was doing everything he could to help me further my art career by offering me spots in The Art Bar to sell my art during art walks and eventually offering me free spots to display my art in The Art Bar alongside other local artists. The Morgantown Art Bar has something for everyone: food, drink, art, music, comedy nights, craft nights, community space.... Not only do they have an awesome weekend brunch, they also serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner (see photos of those menus). We had the steak fajita wrap before the Old-Time Music Jam, and it was yummy! They are open just about every day, so check out facebook or Instagram or just call them if you want to know their hours or what's up for food and entertainment that day. Everyone is super nice. Currently (starting September 2022), in addition to their regular lunch menu, they have a special lunch from 11 am to 1 pm on Mon., Wed., and Fri. created by the chef at Edible Journey. Sunday morning brunch was super convenient here downtown. When you look up on Google maps “breakfast” this place doesn’t come up which is a shame because they have a good selection of breakfast foods. When all the good breakfast places are packed, it’s worth a shot. I didn’t get their “art bar” vibe since there’s not a lot of art on the walls. The food was good but we waited about 25 mins to get it and had to go up to the counter to ask for refills. I get it tho, nobody wants to work...
