In the mood for Italian this time, and we found this place in Morrow. Carrabba’s is similar in some ways to Olive Garden, but a bit more upscale, in my humble opinion. We were seated quickly and was waited on rather quickly. It was a nice thing to have that service… The interior atmosphere is nice, and you can see the open kitchen and the chefs moving along with making the orders… Occasionally, some flames bursting up in the kitchen, part of the meal prep for some dishes, goes to the ambiance… So, the menu has the obvious items, lots of pasta, salads, soups, seafood, a selection of wines and a full bar. I had never been to one, but my wife has and she enjoyed it then. So she went for the “Fettuccine Weesie”, yeah, that’s what I thought too… “Movin on up to the sky…” You know the rest… We misread one of the ingredients as something else seafood related, and it wasn’t It was an onion, scallions, I thought it said scallops… But not to fear, it was great as it was, and ordered some scallops on the side to add to it. I couldn’t make up my mind, so many options, but was suggested to try the “Johnny Trio”. It came with a 7oz Tuscan-grilled Sirloin Marsala, Chicken Bryan and Mezzaluna. The Mezzaluna is a ravioli stuffed with chicken, ricotta, romano, and spinach with a tomato cream sauce. That was the business. So, in essence, I got what I’d have to order separately on one plate. Nice suggestion. The sirloin was great. A crust and tender juicy inside. I ordered it medium, and it was perfect… The chicken was a breast, not dry at all. My wife’s choice was a hit too. I had a Corona this time and she opted for the Long Island Iced Tea. The Long Island was served in a smaller than usual glass, at least what we are used to getting. It was OK, not the best, you could tell it was a mix. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. The service was great, met the manager who was answering a question about a certain Reisling we wanted to see if they had. They did not… But it was still a good experience. Would we go again? I’d say yes to that.

To each it’s on but this place has fallen off and I will never eat here again! I placed an order to go. She was super sweet… However after 20min of waiting; order came out wrong! She offered to have them correct it; apologized and advise to will take 10min. I waited another 20min went by… I became very agitated… The waitress didn’t notice I was still waiting in btw her assisting w/ other to-go-orders! Once I shaved my concerns… She went and got her manager who was like 12! He came up and ask me problem. AS IF, he didn’t already know! I told him I would like to be compensated for my inconvenience and ruining my dinner… it’s now been over 40min! And the one dish is still not ready!!! Basically they never re did the order! He ask what would I like? I ask him if he was manager; he said yes.. Well u tell me what u think is right thing to dot! He said tell me what u would like… I said comp my meal or give me a dessert. He said again, what you like… I said just comp my meal! Then the lil 12yr old looking manger said “well I can give you a discount. 🤦🏼‍♀️ You asked me 3x what I want and when I tell finally tell you; now he’s confuse. He ends up having me buy back the 1 meal and he credit back for the one the screwed up. Nevertheless; another 10 min goes by and the supposedly “bow tie” pasta comes out and it looks some freaking throw-up! It looks like some puree pasta or the part of the pasta that they cut off to throw out!!! No bow tie no where! I couldn’t event eat these Over—cooked noodles! The pasta only had 3 shrimp and 3 scallops!!! I ate the bread and meat and threw out the rest, like what they intended to do, when they served me that BS! NEVER AGAIN! Very disappointed in Carrabba's Italian Grill… And the poor service and meal that was prepared for me and my family! I wouldn’t feed my dog this Pasta!

*********UPDATED REVIEW*************** -I was promptly contacted by the Senior Manager Ryan Holmes by phone first then he followed up with the email below and this is what he wrote: “Tina, please except my apologies for the recent experience you had here at Carrabba's Southlake Please present this email on you next visit so we can take care of Yours and Jame's meal to help replace your previous experience” ** This is a business who cares about their customers! I’m happy to say My husband and I visited last night, 7/29/24 and everything was great! Our server(I forgot his name) was phenomenal! He made awesome recommendations and was very pleasant and was knowledgeable of the menu. The drink I wanted was available and our food tasted like the Carrabas I’ve known and loved for years! We will be back! I truly appreciate it!- I was very disappointed. When I first arrived I had to visit the restroom and I was taken aback to say the least! The women’s restroom was FILTHY! There was a ring in one of the toilets that looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months! The toilet also wouldn’t flush! The paper towels were not loaded in the holder and it was sitting on the vanity getting wet. I couldn’t believe a restaurant would have such filthy facilities. The food was bland and my alcoholic beverage sat on the bar so long it was watered down a not good at all. The drink I wanted, it was purple, wasn’t available. Just a poor experience. I haven’t been in a Carrabas in years and this was a horrible reintroduction. I’m thumbs down

To Whom It May Concern Carrabba’s Italian Grill Corporate Office

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your Southlake, Georgia location on Mother’s Day.

I placed a carry-out order consisting of three full meals, each priced at approximately $28. After calling ahead and checking in for curbside service, I waited in my car for 15 minutes—only to realize no one was coming out. I eventually went inside, only to find that my food had been sitting out, unattended and getting cold.

When I reviewed the order, I noticed that only one portion of bread was included, despite having purchased three separate entrees. I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, Keaten, and another manager by the name of Corinne Eaddy. Rather than apologizing or resolving the issue with basic hospitality, I was told that “providing bread with each meal is not policy.” Bread—something so simple and customary with Italian meals—became an unnecessary point of contention.

When I requested a refund due to the cold food and lack of service, the manager agreed—but only if I returned the meals. I did, and was informed that the refund would take 7–10 days to process. The entire exchange was uncomfortable, dismissive, and took place in front of several customers, making it humiliating and upsetting on a day that should have been celebratory.

I am a 61-year-old mother. I spent Mother’s Day with my 83-year-old mother and 60-year-old sister. None of us deserved to be treated so poorly—especially over something as simple as receiving a full and properly prepared order.

This experience reflects a complete breakdown in service, hospitality, and respect for the customer. I intend to share this publicly on Yelp, Google Reviews, and social media, as no guest should have to go through this—especially not on a holiday honoring mothers.

I request a formal apology and that you review the customer service and curbside procedures at this location. What happened was unacceptable and unprofessional, and I hope Carrabba’s takes this matter...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and I must say that my experience was elevated to new heights thanks to the exceptional service provided by Jolie, our server/waitress.

From the moment we were seated, Jolie greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, setting a welcoming tone for the entire meal. Her professionalism and knowledge of the menu were immediately apparent as she effortlessly guided us through the extensive offerings, providing insightful recommendations and answering all our questions with confidence.

What truly set Jolie apart was her impeccable attentiveness to our needs throughout the meal. Despite a bustling restaurant, she never once made us feel rushed, taking the time to ensure that each dish was served promptly and presented beautifully. Her attention to detail was remarkable, from keeping our drinks refreshed to anticipating our requests before we even had to ask.

Moreover, Jolie's passion for the cuisine shone through in her descriptions of each dish, further enhancing our dining experience. Her expertise in pairing wine with our meal was particularly impressive, as she expertly selected the perfect accompaniment to complement our flavors.

Beyond her professional prowess, Jolie's personality truly made our evening memorable. She exuded warmth and friendliness, engaging us in delightful conversation and making us feel like valued guests throughout our visit. Her genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction was evident, and her enthusiasm for her work was contagious.

In summary, Jolie's exceptional service elevated our dining experience at Carrabba’s Italian Grill to a level of excellence we had not anticipated. Her knowledge, attentiveness, and personable demeanor were truly commendable, and she is undoubtedly an asset to the restaurant. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I look forward to returning to Carrabba’s soon, knowing that Jolie will once again provide an unforgettable...
