To Whom It May Concern Carrabba’s Italian Grill Corporate Office
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your Southlake, Georgia location on Mother’s Day.
I placed a carry-out order consisting of three full meals, each priced at approximately $28. After calling ahead and checking in for curbside service, I waited in my car for 15 minutes—only to realize no one was coming out. I eventually went inside, only to find that my food had been sitting out, unattended and getting cold.
When I reviewed the order, I noticed that only one portion of bread was included, despite having purchased three separate entrees. I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, Keaten, and another manager by the name of Corinne Eaddy. Rather than apologizing or resolving the issue with basic hospitality, I was told that “providing bread with each meal is not policy.” Bread—something so simple and customary with Italian meals—became an unnecessary point of contention.
When I requested a refund due to the cold food and lack of service, the manager agreed—but only if I returned the meals. I did, and was informed that the refund would take 7–10 days to process. The entire exchange was uncomfortable, dismissive, and took place in front of several customers, making it humiliating and upsetting on a day that should have been celebratory.
I am a 61-year-old mother. I spent Mother’s Day with my 83-year-old mother and 60-year-old sister. None of us deserved to be treated so poorly—especially over something as simple as receiving a full and properly prepared order.
This experience reflects a complete breakdown in service, hospitality, and respect for the customer. I intend to share this publicly on Yelp, Google Reviews, and social media, as no guest should have to go through this—especially not on a holiday honoring mothers.
I request a formal apology and that you review the customer service and curbside procedures at this location. What happened was unacceptable and unprofessional, and I hope Carrabba’s takes this matter...
Read moreIn the mood for Italian this time, and we found this place in Morrow. Carrabba’s is similar in some ways to Olive Garden, but a bit more upscale, in my humble opinion.
We were seated quickly and was waited on rather quickly. It was a nice thing to have that service…
The interior atmosphere is nice, and you can see the open kitchen and the chefs moving along with making the orders… Occasionally, some flames bursting up in the kitchen, part of the meal prep for some dishes, goes to the ambiance…
So, the menu has the obvious items, lots of pasta, salads, soups, seafood, a selection of wines and a full bar.
I had never been to one, but my wife has and she enjoyed it then. So she went for the “Fettuccine Weesie”, yeah, that’s what I thought too… “Movin on up to the sky…” You know the rest… We misread one of the ingredients as something else seafood related, and it wasn’t It was an onion, scallions, I thought it said scallops… But not to fear, it was great as it was, and ordered some scallops on the side to add to it.
I couldn’t make up my mind, so many options, but was suggested to try the “Johnny Trio”. It came with a 7oz Tuscan-grilled Sirloin Marsala, Chicken Bryan and Mezzaluna. The Mezzaluna is a ravioli stuffed with chicken, ricotta, romano, and spinach with a tomato cream sauce. That was the business. So, in essence, I got what I’d have to order separately on one plate. Nice suggestion.
The sirloin was great. A crust and tender juicy inside. I ordered it medium, and it was perfect… The chicken was a breast, not dry at all. My wife’s choice was a hit too. I had a Corona this time and she opted for the Long Island Iced Tea.
The Long Island was served in a smaller than usual glass, at least what we are used to getting. It was OK, not the best, you could tell it was a mix.
Overall, it was a nice dining experience. The service was great, met the manager who was answering a question about a certain Reisling we wanted to see if they had. They did not… But it was still a good experience.
Would we go again? I’d say...
