The Asian House — Restaurant in Mount Airy

If I could leave zero stars, I WOULD! I never leave reviews. However, the cashier was very very very RUDE! When I picked up my order, she did not speak. I asked if she put soy sauce and duck sauce in the bag. She responded with a rude "yeah". I did not state anything at that point, I just left. The cashier hollered at a waitress as well. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT. The cashier seems very unhappy. She needs to stop taking her anger out on others. Upon returning home, my food looked undone and not fresh. I decided to take the food back because I did not want to risk getting sick. I did not want them to remake my food, I just wanted a refund. Because I wanted a refund, she told me not to come back again. LMBO! I didn't plan on going back, TRUST ME! There was no sanitation grade posted. That is a warning sign that the establishment is not of standard code. Also, she tried to come up with excuses not to give me my money back. Now, I see why the reviews are so BAD! The previous owners were very NICE and ACCOMMODATING. I will NEVER return back to Asian House in Mount Airy Nc. The experience was just HORRIBLE!!! I should have known something was off regarding the establishment because of how dirty the fish tank was. The ENTIRE establishment is very DIRTY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I will go to Tin Tin or P.F. Chang's. These establishments are clean, have great food, great customer service, and are very attentive. I visit the Mt Airy area every week on business for the last six month's. I had patronized the restaurant a few times in the very beginning of my trips to the area. The food was ok it was more about convenience is why I went there. The waiter seemed ok until there true stereotyping showed its self.

It started when I was offered to take my payment at the table, prior to this I always went up front to pay before leaving. The same waiter offered ghis service to the gentleman that sat at the table across the isle from me, very nice guy, even shared a short conversation with him. I really hate to really add this ,but it's what makes this all make sense, this guy was white and I'll just say I'm of a darker completion. After he pays he gets up say goodbye and walks out. I seat for another 10 min after I've paid ,I leave a nice tip and start walking towards the door, as I reach the door one of the two ladies that was kinda sharing the duties in our section, runs to the door and loudly ask me if I paid. So now I'm angry and the lady that took my payment , was standing very close to us said nothing. So after I confirmed to her that I paid, and her looking around líke I was lieing. I politely followed her back to the table that she had previously walked by, and too back the $10 tip I had left for them. I went in for 2 takeout plates like I have many times before, requested some fresh rice/noodles because there was hardly any & it was dry from sitting. Cashier requested the food. Proceeds to bring food out. She jerks my plate out of my hand & pours it all onto my plate completely filling it. I told her I didn't want that much that i wanted other stuff on my plate & she said I had requested it so I must take it. I asked why bc I had done this many times before & the rest could just go on the bar, and she then starts yelling at me that if I'm getting a to go buffet I can't request food from the back I have to take what's already there. I explained that it was dry & she continued to yell and tell me the price of the food that she brought out insisting that I will have to pay additional money for said food eventhough I was already paying for the overpriced by the pound to go plates. All the workers stood and stared as she yelled at me with my 7 year old daughter by my side. I have been here hundreds of times & its never been an issue to request fresh food. It was 1 hour 20 mins before stated closing time & there was another person in there eating. I will absolutely NEVER go back to this establishment. I would have had no issue just getting a to go order if she had told Me this to begin with- but...
