Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Mount Airy

Ordered 2 Shaq A Roni pizzas well done tonight 5-23-25. Opened the boxes when I got home and 1 pizza is just swimming in grease and is definitely not well done, neither is the other pizza. But at least it wasn't dripping with grease.

The pizza dough was barely finished where the crust was rolled under, because it unrolled when I was eating it and you could see the semi uncooked dough.

Got an order of bread sticks too, got home to eat and they're soggy from sitting in a pool of garlic butter. Absolutely disgusting.

My wife takes the grease pool back for a refund, apparently they don't give refunds for their horrible pizza, they just remake their absolute horrid pizza again. My wife being the nice woman she is was too kind to say, No this pizza is absolute garbage and she definitely DIDNT WANT TO WAIT IN THE STORE WHILE THEY MAKE MORE HORRIBLE PIZZAS.

It's ok, last time I spend 40 bucks for pizza at Papa Johns in Mount Airy. You all should be embarrassed who made pizza tonight, I got the same pizza 3 days ago during lunch time and it was much much better than the slop that's served tonight.

First 2 pics are the same grease pool pizza, last pic was the "replacement" pizza for the grease pool pizza from the first picture. Thanks for making inedible food so I can be hungry while I should be satisfied.

40 bucks literally in the trash, no one in our house wants this nasty food and in this economy I am extremely upset with what I paid for.

The lady working didn’t have enough clothing to cover herself. It was kind of nasty to see someone with half their stomach hanging out leaning over pizzas.

The same lady was INCREDIBLY rude. She was yelling at other workers in front of customers. She was throwing empty boxes towards people. It was one of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever seen in my life. If the food wasn’t for someone else, I would have walked out immediately.

The wait was ridiculous.

The inside of the place was absolutely gross. Dirty and nasty. Again, if it wasn’t for someone else, I would have walked out immediately.

I think that this Papa John’s is an excellent representation of what Surry County is slowly becoming, and just like Surry County, I’ve had enough to last...

Pizza delivery boy here!!!! Just letting people know the delivery fee is not a tip to us.... And $0.19 tip is awesome what can I purchase with that lolol. Just want to say don't tip less than what it would take you in your own vehicles gas to get there and back include your time cause in case anyone hasn't noticed time is the most valuable indicator on life you can't go back and change the past.. also to the people who leave $4 plus in your tips your a saint truely a blessing to the drivers I am currently driving a single cab truck only vehicle I have with 4 kids and a wife so I appreciate everything but if it's less than a dollar tip for a 12 min drive just to the house honestly keep it and next time you go to the store just put that in your gas and see how far it gets you :) hope everyone has a great experience BEST PIZZA IN TOWN.
