Meh.... service wasnt great. Bartender took 4 minutes to even make eye contact and greet me. Other woman behind bar, not sure if she was a server or a bartender, she was just chatting with a couple at tue end of the bar. No greeting from her either. Woman who took my order was busy, no doubt, im a former server and i do recognize that, however a simple greeti g with eye contact goes a long way. Makes you feel noticed. I did not have that feeling. Waited a while before she took my order too. Again, a simple be with you in a sec would have solved my frustrations. Hoping food is better than the service so far as im waiting on a togo order.

Update : food was so so. Rueben wasnt bad, fries were brown and over fried. Wings were awful. Way over cooked, like dog chews.. blech.... ive had burgers there in the past and they werr decent. But whomever was on the fryer this eve needs retraining, we pitched all the wings... sauce wasnt fantastic. Liked the heat but too vinegary, needed some balance. Menu seems so big makes me think unless i get the most popular thing, like a burger, that it...

I don’t do negative reviews. Everyone has bad days, but we’ve been talked down to too many times. CPs has genuinely been our go-to for the last year for tasty takeout. The food is amazing and we ALWAYS order the same thing. Depending on who rings it up, it’s either $27 or $40. It goes back and forth. Naturally, one would wonder the reason for the discrepancy. The two times I tried to get clarification I was treated as if I wanted something. Look at the average home price in Wilson County. We are not looking for free/discounted anything. I’d even be willing to pay $15 for a cheese quesadilla (NO SIDE) for years to come if I hadn’t been treated so poorly.

The folks at CPs know charging $15 for cheese and a tortilla (again, no side) is a mistake. And they’d be frustrated if they’d been treated this way too. For reference, a cajun grilled chicken sandwich at M.L. Rose is 13.79 (with fries).

But again, CPs food gets 5 stars. Their dine-in service has been fine. Take out has been trash. My wife and I work too hard to have to argue about a $13...

I went to CP last Friday with my wife and daughter. They were busy. Almost every table was full. We were seated immediately though so it wasn't too busy. The staff was pleasant. We ordered about 10 minutes after arriving and then waited over an hour for our food. My wife and daughters food was fine when it came out. I immediately recognized that mine was not right. The server apologized. She was great. About 10 minutes later my BBQ Nachos arrived. I would have sent these back but I didn't because I had waited for so long. The chips had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp to the point they were burned. Some were even chewy. There was hardly any meat on them. I would have left a 2 star review but it gets bumped to a 3 star because of our server. She knew this wasn't right and without me ever saying anything she brought our bill and told me that she had removed my meal from the ticket.

I am aware of staff shortages due to Covid but I haven't seen such long wait times at other area...
