Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Mount Laurel Township

Mother's day on a Sunday makes the quest for a restaurant a hectic one. I had called at the Deptford one, and the girl who answered was not pleasant but rather annoyed that I have called to check on the waiting time for a table. Her response: 'it's Mother's day you should know'. I was not only in shock, but also discouraged, since this year I was going to spend Mother's day with my son alone (I don't have any family in this country) and I've wanted to go here and have a nice meal since it's my closest one. I was tempted to call back and ask for the manager, but ultimately I went to this location instead, which it's a 30 min drive, and hoped for the best. Maybe the girl on the phone was a having a rough day, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. At the desk, the girls were quite nice and explained the 45 min wait, even when it was just me and my 2 year old son, but she was going to try hard to get me in quicker than that. And so she did; 20 min of wait and I was called in. My waitress was amazing, sorry I can't remember her name, but she made our little date a perfect one. The food was very good. I got my mini-me the chicken dippers with fries, and a Sirloin with shrimp, loaded mashed, and steam broccoli for me. Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My son is picky, and he ate the whole thing. We ended our little date by ordering the famous molten cake for dessert. The waitress went above and beyond to make it special, super friendly, very attentive, and a lovely woman. It's been a while since I had a waitress be that friendly and attentive, even in such busy night. I would definitely come back here and ask for her. Visited June 18 2022 at about 730pm. The food was good but the service was horrible. My glass sat empty on the table the whole time i was there. Only received one drink when i sat down and my waiter walked by 3x and never ask or stop to see if we needed anything. The manager walked by 2x and greeted other guess and ask how their visit but never ask us. The food was brought to us by another employee from the back and I even asked him for another drink since I haven't seen my waiter in about 25mins and still never receive anything. Sat there for 35mins after completing the meal, super thirsty and the waiter finally comes over and ask were we ready for the bill and he's sorry cause he was busy. The whole time we're inside this establishment there was only 6 other tables and and their waiter looked to be servicing and checking on them. For a Saturday night this place was super dead. How could u be busy. There were literally 6tables and total of 15ppl including us. U only had one table. I seen my waiter walking from the back of the kitchen onto the floor and turn around and walk right back in the kitchen. The whole time talking to other employees and playing around. I guess when u your young and don't care about your job this is what u do. worst service I ever received from a restaurant. I'VE been at places were it was super busy and the waiter always checked in on us and got us drinks or whatever we needed. I think since u pay with that machine that sits on the table they must not get many tips so they dont care about servicing people properly but I had a 30dollar tip for this young man for a 90.00 bill smh u lost out. very bad customer service, a waitress treated my partner and me badly, just because he was Hispanic, he was asked for two drinks with alcohol. I forgot my ID at home and my partner had his in his car. I tried to show him my ID to the person. waitress because I have it on my phone and she didn't even give me a chance to show it when she already told me that she wasn't going to accept anything that was on the phone, she spoke to me in a very bad manner, very badly, I asked her for just one drink and a glass of water, it took longer. 20 minutes to take the glass with water, the drink and the entree that we ordered. then that happens we continue calmly we order the main course in the same way it was never she take it to the table we order another drink and a glass of coke she then comes to me to tell me that I can't drink because I didn't show my ID when the drink was not for Yes, no, for my partner, then a man comes out and talks to us about a lot of meaningless things. We couldn't even eat in peace. We had to leave the place. We paid the bill and left at all times. The waitress was racist towards us. Very bad service.
