Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Mountain View

They say that you can't judge a book by it's cover, but what if the cover is stained and dirty? This Baskin Robbins had to probably be the filthiest location of the ice cream chain I've been to. The back counter where the sundaes are prepped looked grimy. The tables and floor of this place are sticky like​ it's rarely clean. The TV is blaring. One of the employees is rocking some stains and despite saying hello (good) you can tell it's at best a disingenuous one (bad). I know the job doesn't pay well, I really absolutely sympathize with the employees - all this kind of stuff falls on the owner (about cleanliness mainly).

I mean beyond that, the product is a fine homogenous scoop. It it weren't for my wife liking ice cream and me refusing to travel great distances - I would not come here.

The sundaes are wildly inconsistent. Used to have two Baskin Robbins in the north Peninsula where I used to live which were amazing.

When you drop $7 on a Reese's sundae and you barely get any Reece's pieces and barely any toppings what's the point? I can buy a whole box of Reece's and scoop my own.

And it's getting to that point because the sad employees and the grime has a way of making 31 flavors taste like 1...

Every time my daughter gets in the mood for a little ice cream, this is our go-to spot. It's always clean, friendly and fast. On my last visit, it stood out because we were looking for assistance with a couple of smoothies we had received at a different BR location. I purchased them on the other side of town and they were not consumable because they were so poorly made. So I stopped here to get new ones. After finding out what happened, Lea was wonderful enough to assist me with replacing both smoothies even though this is against their usual policy since each location is a franchise, meaning, you have to return it to the location where you purchased it if there are any issues to be corrected. She was kind enough to remake both smoothies and completely replace them. As for me, I took that as a lesson learned and decided it's probably best that I stick to this location for my purchases instead of "venturing out" to others. For an excellent BR experience every single time, I recommend this location.

By the way, in the heat of the day, my favorite refresher from here is the plain mango smoothie. It's absolutely delicious and refreshing and a small is around...

I went to this location last night around 8:30 pm because i wanted a shake. When i asked for a cookies and cream shake, the girl started to scoop my ice cream and put it in a blender and proceeded to make my shake. I was confused. I worked for baskin robbins before and NEVER were we taught to make shakes in a blender. I told her i didnt want a runny shake and asked if she could use the shake machine. She was annoyed and told me that she already cleaned it for closing. I asked, "well what time do you close?". She said 10 o'clock and she cleaned the machine at 6!! I was shocked. I asked if she could please make my shake using the correct machine. She had an attitude the whole time making a point to just toss the milk around and carelessly make my shake. If i didnt already pay with my card i wouldve asked for my money back. This is terrible service! I would not go to this...
