Absolutely awful experience, 0 stars is a more acceptable rating. If you're considering coming to this location, just go somewhere else. We didn't even get to complete our order or try the food before the guy behind the counter completely blew up on our group of 5 people because we wanted 10 chicken tenders that wouldn't be ready for about 10 minutes and wouldn't let us pay for it until after it was done (for whatever reason, never heard of not being able to pay for food that was in the process of being prepared before).
We ordered the tenders, he told us that there would be a wait because they weren't cooked yet, we asked if it was still okay if we waited the 10 minutes until it was made and he said it was fine, but when we went to pay for our food and asked why the chicken tenders weren't part of the order, he got extremely combative and rude and said he already explained it and that we were making it difficult, then cancelled our entire order completely and walked away from the register. The manager was right there standing next to him hearing the whole thing happen, and did absolutely nothing. The people in line behind us said they weren't going to deal with that and left, and we decided we weren't going to stick around either after the way we were treated over a seemingly simple 10 minute wait we were totally fine with. We just wanted to pay for all the food in the same order and didn't understand why it wasn't included when we just talked about it and it seemed like he understood what we were saying the first time. While we were walking out the door, the manager even said something to the effect that WE were the ones being rude first.
I decided to call the restaurant afterwards to let them know that they need to teach their employees the basics of customer service, and the male "manager" on the phone, who was obviously not the female manager that was in the restaurant 5 minutes earlier and sounded very similar to the guy behind the register, obviously didn't care what I was saying and said he has 15 years of experience in customer service so he knows how to take care of customers. He must not have been conscious for the majority of that time, because I didn't see anything close to 15 years of experience. Maybe 15 hours of experience combined between the employee and manager we dealt with, and I'm being generous with that guess. Now it makes sense why the parking lot was empty with the way they treat their customers, especially after reading the other reviews on here. At least Subway downtown actually let us pay for our whole order, it tasted great and they even told us to have a great day as we left. It's pretty sad, hopefully someone with a little more brainpower than temper and some REAL customer service experience starts working there soon before Corporate comes and closes...

They still rang it up incorrectly. Spent $60.22 at 7:31pm on 8-15-24. They told me it was a $3.00 different to add a piece of lettuce to my sandwich. Didn't offer any sauces. Argued with me about my sandwich being made correctly. Only after I got mad and started getting loud did they fix it. Another lady had both her sandwichs messed up and they refused to fix them. Another family setting next to us experienced the same thing. Cook started getting mad, yelling and cussing, we warned everyone as they were walking in. My family will never visit this location again. I am the general manager of a restaurant and I would be extremely embarrassed to be in a place like that particular Hardee's. Worst customer service my family has ever received. 15 out of 10 would never recommend to anyone ever. Read moreThe biggest advertised restaurant in the area gave terrible service and left many, including us, unhappy. They didn't even seem to care. We ended up having to look for other places to eat and Hardee's was the only place open. They were swamped. I think they were trying to close, but people kept lining up. I felt bad for this location dealing with so many hungry people and being the only fast food restaurant in the area/tourist area nonetheless. They tried their best and were apologetic for the wait and shortness on food available. Even though there was a line and things were not perfect order wise I sincerely feel more pleased /accepting with their service than anything. They were respectful, kind and were trying to crank out what food they had while closing.
