I’ll preface that I love this location… or did. My friend had asked for a water cup but decided to get a different drink instead. Big deal right? It happens all the time and I’ve worked fast food and seen all the time. It doesn’t hurt anyone or so we thought. The worker was circling around us as we ate them came up to her and berated her stating in a rude tone, “If you’re not gonna actually get water then you’re gonna have to pay.” In a very insinuating tone that my friend had no money and she said it loud enough for the whole store. First, you do not talk to a customer like that and two she already had a bad attitude towards my friends. They wanted to share a bowl because they weren’t that hungry. When they asked for an extra bowl to obviously split it. She gave them a dirty look as to say they had no money. I feel as if the whole situation could’ve been handled a lot more nicely and we did pay for the drink. We paid after all. It was $3.26 which we paid but the attitude from that worker was incredulous. She acted as if it was coming out of her paycheck or she was a manager… which she was not. After she has yelled at my friend, we all lost our appetite and felt very uncomfortable. The only nice worker was the lineman who prepared our food. We had manners when ordering and interacting with the workers but were met with a hostile and unsafe environment over a $3 drink. Many other people do the same thing at other establishments and sometimes people do change their mind. But how would you feel as a couple of young teens approached by an older woman who starts yelling at your friend over a water cup? Not only that but as we finished eating I could hear her berating us with her fellow coworkers. Don’t work in food service if you can’t control your emotions and do your job. We weren’t rude, my friend even responded that she would pay for it right then but the worker just stormed off. I’ll admit we felt a bit threatened. They insisted before we left that we paid for the drink or we could not leave. If we didn’t pay would they call the cops over a $3 drink? It felt as if, not to mention we are POC women and the staff that interacted with us were not. We felt targeted from the very moment we interacted with the certain worker who felt in her power that getting a water cup instead was gonna harm her. You can ask us to pay for it but do not talk to us like we are lower and do not have money: Do not assert us as less than because we are younger or because we asked for a water cup and got something instead. It was only 1 out of 3 of us who did that. I hope you get fired for the way you spoke to us, we felt very threatened. There was no need to raise your voice or escalate the situation before you even approached us. It’s almost as if our presence had already angered you when we had done nothing but ordered and paid. You might as well have stood there and watched them get their...
Read moreIf you're someone who enjoys minimal protein and a generous helping of filler ingredients, this Chipotle may be just what you're looking for. The portions are impressively consistent—especially if you’re hoping for your serving of chicken to resemble more of a garnish than a main ingredient.
Customer service here is also... memorable. Despite being the only person in line, I had the unique opportunity to observe a lively employee conversation that was clearly too important to pause for a greeting or acknowledgment. It's always nice to feel invisible.
The hand sanitizer station adds a charming touch of continuity—consistently empty for months now. I reach for it out of habit, only to be gently reminded that refilling it simply isn't part of the ambiance here.
And in a final flourish of distinction, this is the only Chipotle I've visited nationwide where I’ve been charged for side toppings. A bold business model, and truly one-of-a-kind.
Update 9/30/2025: I’ve really tried to give my local Chipotle multiple chances, but unfortunately, they keep letting me down. On my most recent visit, I asked for chicken in my bowl. The staff member literally missed the bowl with half the scoop of chicken, which meant I ended up with a pretty sparse portion. When you’re paying for a bowl, you expect to actually get a full serving of protein, not just a sprinkle.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. I’ve noticed a pattern of careless service here, and it’s really disappointing. I keep hoping they’ll improve, but each time I go in, it feels like the same issues persist.
I hope management sees this and considers putting a bit more emphasis on training their staff to pay attention to the details. Until then, I’m not sure I’ll be coming back...
Read moreDo not waste your money at this Chipotle location. My husband just placed and picked up an online order for two bowls and both ended up being completely wrong! Unfortunately, this discovery wasn't made until after he drove all the way back home with them. To make matters worse, this is actually the THIRD time in recent visits that multiple mistakes were made with an online order we've placed there.
Now, to quickly summarize the issues with our latest order:
I honestly don't even know how it's possible to make that many mistakes in the same order. It's astounding.
With limited places to pick up a quick and at least relatively healthy meal, we tried giving them multiple chances, but shame on us for continuing to give them business. That ends today. The 2nd (3rd, 4th, etc.) chances for this place are over. We will no longer throw our money away at this poorly operated and managed Chipotle. It's frustrating because we've frequented several other Chipotle locations before moving to Murfreesboro and none of them have had the issues that this one continues to have.
My advice: avoid this place like the plague and wisely spend your hard-earned...
