Jasmine Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

A buddy of mine and I were returning home from a music festival, and being lunchtime and all, our stomachs were nearly raising Cain trying to get us to fill them up (nowhere near starvation level, but that first-world, act-like-it's-starvation-level kind of raising Cain that stomachs do). Anywho, we wanted Asian, or Mexican, but Asian seemed to be what the stomachs wanted, so we capitulated. I compared reviews for various Asian places on Google Maps, and Fulin seemed like the best bet. As we walked toward the entrance, a rather large man with two bags filled with to-go boxes was just exiting (usually a good sign for the first-world hungry when such a one exits a food proprietor's establishment). My friend asked him what was good, and he replied, "It's all good, man. They make good food in there. My favorite is the General Zao's Shrimp, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And they're good people in there." We thanked him kindly and expectantly entered.

There's not much else to say at this point except it was wonderful, and you should go eat there and tip well. Clean, friendly, delicious, excellent. We got chicken dumplings as an appetizer (I drank - yes, drank - the leftover sauce it was so good!), Cantonese Ginger Duck with Scallions, Bok Choy with Garlic, and Fried Rice. It. Was. Amazing. Ah! The stomachs didn't make a peep for hours after that. Delight your gustatory side and buy a mouth-watering meal at Fulin's.

Hey be careful going to this restaurant on Thompson fulins. I was door dashing and I went to pick up food here and the manger owner whoever he is reached for my phone and I didn’t let him touch it. He told me he has to watch me verify it in person because people have been stealing from him. I told him I am but you aren’t going to rush me to do it. By the time he was hollering at me telling me that’s how he will get paid. I told him I’m trying to get paid too if I don’t verify it I will lose money he told me o don’t have time for this snatch the food out of my hand and told me he will get someone else to do it . So after that I started asking what his name was and him and his wife or co worker ignored me. So I speak Spanish and saw the cooking crew were Hispanic so I spoke to them and asked who was the manager and they told me It was him. He heard me speaking to them then yelled at them saying don’t talk to me. I had to laugh to stay out of jail because while I stayed in there someone came for the same order who qas white and there wasn’t any of the same treatment only difference I saw was he was a skinny white male that look artsy and I was a short black muscular male in a hoodie. I had to laugh to keep from feeling rage about my time being wasted and losing money while being disrespected. I told them if I wanted to steal this food no one in here would stop me I’m just trying to earn some money...

Went in Friday night before the Friday dinner crowd rush came in. Sat there for 20 ish minutes waiting for our drinks and to order our food. Meanwhile other people came in and their orders were taken and we were forgotten about. Food once it came out didn’t come out in a timely manner and the whole order at once. I got my food first and like 8 minutes later my other persons food came out. My tea was watered down and my food had bad old mushrooms in it. My other persons food also was “soupy” and thin instead of the usual creamy thicker texture of the sauce. The kitchen was completely disorganized and I know Gordon Ramsey would have an absolutely cow seeing this.

I ordered an extra drink and that never came. Spend almost 2 hours in there and almost half that time waiting for food and ordering. Usually we don’t have a problem here but this last time was a nightmare. It’s gonna be while when we ever come back and it’s definitely not on a Friday or...
