My Family and I ordered 3 goat curry meals to go from this place. When we got home and was ready to dine we opened the containers to find only 2 pieces of meat with a lot of sauce. We figured the drive was too long so we called and informed the resturant of the mistake that was made with a meal that we payed well over $50.00 dollars for. They told us that they would replace it and we were fune with that. When we fixed the food for our family and started to eat the meat was unbearable and could not chew the meat at all. So we decided to go back to the restuarant and show them that you could not even pull the meat apart with two dinner forks. They seemed a bit confused and acted as if they did not understand so I showed them again utilizing their dinner forks. That is when they apologized and said they would give us replacement meals. After waiting for anothwr 20 minutes they brought the replacement out to me. Keep in mind they took my name down for the meal that was shorted and was told they would give it to us another time when we came back. After we got back home we realized they basically gave us the same meat and was still undercooked and not edible. We just gave up this night and made everyone sandwhiches. Well fast forward three weeks later and we called to get the free meal. Tbey acted as if they did not remember and then someone else got on the phone and kept repeating "we give you meal already" It is really a shame because the food is good except the meals that we ordered. The main issue I have is with the customer service and the deceipt behind their theory that everyone is looking for a free meal. We could have easily spent the money elsewhere but chose them. Based on our conversation tonight with these people we will never dine there again and will also spread the word with pictures and video to back up our claim via FB, Twitter and word of mouth that you can't treat the people like crap and serve them food that is not edible or undercoked that has been paid for by a hard...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTL:DR Consistently good reliable Indian food in Murfreesboro. Been ordering from them for the last 5 years, and they are still fab. Generous portion sizes, too.
NOTE: 1) They used to have a good lunch buffet but the buffet has been closed since Covid-19 started. Honestly better this way, bc buffets during a pandemic are sketchy š
FULL REVIEW: Tandoor has been my go-to place for Indian food in Murfreesboro (without having to drive all the way to Nashville) for years now. I have a few specific things I order and they are excellent every time, so you can say this is my comfort Indian food joint. I'm from India, and sometimes you just want to order delicious curries without having to slave over a hot stove for ages.
Pro tip: The best thing about Tandoor are their goat dishes. Goat is harder to source in this area in general, which is why I am mentioning it specifically. Tandoor's goat dishes hit the spot every time! I usually get Goat Biryani (medium heat) and Goat Kadai (this is my absolute favourite). Be warned that the goat dishes are all made with bone-in meat, so YMMV if you prefer boneless meat curries instead. However, I love meat with bones because it's yummier, so this works just fine for me.
I would also recommend their chicken curry dishes. Consistently good.
And for the vegetarians out there, PLEASE try the Baingan Bharta (Fire-roasted Mashed Eggplant blended with spices). It is DELICIOUS. And I say this as someone who tends to order meat dishes when ordering out. Check with servers to see if this is also vegan--if they don't use butter or ghee in the prep, this is easily one of the most delicious vegan options out there.
The Mango Lassi, Garlic Naan, and Peas Pulao are also always good. Would recommend these for sure. Bonus: they're all...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePathetic food and even pathetic service! Stay hungry instead of going to such a place. It is either we were unlucky to have such a bad experience here or all the good reviews for this place are paid.
We stopped here while coming back from a long road trip for some good food. Unfortunately, even at a spice level of 5 we got both the sweet curries. Don't know why!!
Once we got the food, we were told that we can ask for more rice if we need. Few minutes later, when we asked for it, we were told that the rice has finished and they cannot give any rice. We can order more breads if we need. Seriously?? Nice trick btw to pretend yourself to be good but when it comes to doing good, back-off from it.
This is not it, the best part comes towards the end. While paying the bill, we realized that the bill is more than expected. We cross-checked the prices from the menu and some of the items were billed at 1.5x than the price mentioned in the menu card. Well, that is what a "SCAM" is!! When we asked for it, the cashier replied that the prices have increased. Why isn't the menu card updated then?? Oh, probably they won't be able to "SCAM" people then.
Beware of this place! Beware of their scams! Better to donate your money and stay hungry instead of wasting it in such a place by being a part of their "SCAM". Would have given 0 stars if possible for such a disgusting place. Won't recommend anyone in my contacts to even 'try' this unethical place.
No taste! No service! Only scams!!!
To this place, you have lost a huge group...
