⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Tasty experience with room for improvement in service and guidance.

Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot and Grill offers a unique and fun dining experience if you’re into hot pot. The chicken soup base was really flavorful, and the variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and dipping sauces was impressive. The conveyor belt is a cool feature — it continuously sends small plates of ingredients around, which adds a fun and interactive twist to the meal.

However, we did feel a bit lost when we first sat down. There wasn’t much of an introduction or explanation about how things work — like how to use the conveyor belt, what’s included with the buffet, or how the pricing works with drinks and add-ons. It took us a while to figure things out on our own, and it would’ve helped if the staff had been more attentive or proactive in walking us through the process.

That said, once we got into the flow, it turned into an enjoyable experience. Everything was clean and well-stocked, and the ingredients seemed fresh. We had a good time overall and left full and satisfied.

If it’s your first time, be prepared to ask a few questions — but the food is definitely worth it, and I’d recommend trying it...

We had dinner here last night. It was our first time eating here. We arrived excited, but left disappointed. When we arrived, the sauce bar was missing MANY items. When some items were restocked, after waiting around 20-30 minutes, many did not have labels. It was impossible to make a sauce, based on the posted recipes, due to lack of labels and missing ingredients. I couldn't even find soy sauce for sushi because of faded or missing labels. Food items on the conveyor belt were also missing. I wanted bok choy or Napa Cabbage in my broth, but while there were signs and spaces on the conveyor belt for those items, they were out until just before we finished eating. We payed a lot of money for a truly underwhelming experience. I think it could have been better if there were labels on the sauce bar, adequate ingredients on the sauce bar, quicker restocking time, and better service. Our waitress only came by a couple of times, and failed to tell us that we could adjust the temperature of our grill and pots, even though we told her it was our first time eating there and we needed instructions on what to do. Not...

Last week my daughter and I went in to have some lunch. I had no idea Shabu Shadu was an all you can eat. I wasn't hungry enough for an all you can eat lunch.

Today we returned with my husband and son. This is my first experience having a hot pot. As a first timer, I'd like to say it was fun and tasty. They give you eight choices for your soup base. My daughter and I chose the chicken soup. My husband selected the miso soup. My soup was feeling lucky and chose the Szechuan base soup. Once we selected our soup we proceeded to the buffet to select what will go into our soups. I had the fish cakes, quail eggs, lobster balls, rice noodles, ramen noodles, bokchoy, cabbage, mushrooms, fresh garlic, sesame oil, and peanut powder. I even made room for dessert and I am so glad I did. There was a layered coffee flavored cake, fresh fruits, and cream puffs.

You really should arrive hungry. It's an all you can eat establishment. That alone makes...

I love the location in Nashville and was STOKED that another one opened. I was..... disappointed. Indifferent staff and the door didn't tell wait staff we'd been seated. The fun conveyer belt veggie and noodle carosel was turned off. We got there shortly after open and there were empty food trays. The curry broth was bland. The veggies are unseasoned, the shaved meats are unseasoned so coupled with bland broth..... bland food. The singing robots are cool, waitstaff were friendly and the all you can eat food is plentiful (when available). Here's the Breakdown: A potential gem that needs to tighten up staff and quality +3 stars. I would go back because it could have been a fluke. I will edit this review if return visit is better.

Delicious hot pot and grill experience. There are a ton of options and the staff does an amazing job of explaining the process and the options. There is no way to leave here hungry. They offer free meals for kids under 36 inches and 50% off for kids under a certain height as well. There was a ton on the buffets with labels so you knew what you were picking. The conveyer belt with additional hot pot options remained very well stocked and included times to cook everything. It was all very delicious!
