Wahlburgers — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

As a person whom is very unhappy with their visit. I’ll start with this place is an over priced diner.

As soon as I walked in the building it was absolutely frigid. I was freezing. Asked if we could sit outside, that was for take out only. Annoying but whatever. So if you’re sensitive to temperature bring a jacket because I did not.

Do not advertise outdoor seating if you don’t have outdoor seating for dine in!!!

That being said. We sat down and order our drinks and it took 30 minutes just for drinks. We ordered a sweet tea. Milk shake. Root beer float and two glasses of water. Mind you. The place was hardly full but certainly not overflowing with people. It’s a Wednesday night…

When our server saw the sweet tea get low while making the effort to get it to us quickly I didn’t appreciate it being thrown at us and then our server running away before we had the chance yo ask for anything else. Especially as we are watching other servers stand around and just chit chat while our server is struggling to get it done.

We ordered a “starter” and a cup of chili to come out before the rest of our food.

I order the tater tots. Now I’ve never been here before so I had no idea I was paying $8 for a cup of tater tot’s. The cup of chili was the same size and at a cheaper price. So I don’t get the logic there. And as a “starter” I assumed it’d at least be enough to share with another person, definitely not.

My chili was great. Nice and hot. Tater tots I wasn’t too thrilled with. They were clammy and not very flavorful in my opinion.

So after that the rest of our food came out. And every single bit of it was cold.

Not like warm. Not just right so it hot enough to eat but cool enough so you don’t burn your mouth. COLD!

Like I put it in the freezer for my toddler and then forgot about it.

My chili was still steaming by the time the rest of my food got to the table. For any restaurant I would consider this unacceptable. How dare anyone serve cold food?

I was sure to bring it up to my server but as it did not matter considering I was waiting for so long for my food that it didn’t make sense for me to wait even longer for more food. I simply did not have time or patience. I was starving enough as it is. Haha.

It certainly was my choice not to wait for more food, but then at the end of everything I couldn’t even finish eating because it was just not good cold. My daughter also would not eat her food cause it was cold (got the Mac n cheese)

At the end of the night when my husband asked for the check, because I had complained about cold food the serve gave us a “locals discount”

I’m already a local. So it was almost insulting honestly. It felt more like a joke than any actual remorse.

Maybe I have high standards, but then again how high can my standards be if all I asked for was hot food that is hot.

Will certainly not be retuning and would not...

My husband and I have watched EVERY episode of Wahlburgers and were really looking forward to finally trying it. As soon as we got there he started saying "Paul would lose it in here" lol, there was salt all over the table they sat us at and a straw on the floor nobody wanted to pick up. The servers were not very friendly , our waiter never told us his name and they all looked very sloppy. They were wearing jeans and hats backwards, one male employee had long hair not in a hat but, a loose ponytail. The food was TERRIBLE and so disappointing. We started with the fried pickles and they weren't to bad but, then the entrees came... I had the "Our Burger" and asked for the special sauce on the side because, I wasn't sure if I would like it. When it came the bun looked like a thin store brand bun and the meat had no flavor AT ALL just MEAT and was almost mushy. He never brought the sauce so, it was a bland burger. I love cheeseburgers so it's hard to disappoint me but, it was so bad I didn't finish it. My husband tried mine and spit it out. I ordered the bacon mac and cheese and it was COLD and only had some kind of creamy runny cheese, also didn't eat this. My Husband got the crispy chicken ranch sandwich and he said it wasn't bad but the bun literally fell apart while he was eating it. He got the tater tots and they were cold. The sweet tea tasted like what I imagine cardboard taste like so, I requested a soda instead. Overall we spent more than $50.00 here and were so not impressed. This restaurant needs some help. We ate at a nice place the night before and had a whole meal for the same price, very overpriced for what you get. Maybe Paul's restaurant is better and we will give it a shot one day but, never again in Myrtle Beach. And I agree with him Paul would be losing it if he went there, lol. I just feel like what you see on tv as far as the expectation and quality of food just isn't being met there and I don't think they are using the same meat and buns as shown...

Came here tonight (4/17/2025) I’m writing the review because my to-go order for myself was wrong but right for the rest of my family…but cold. We came in around 7:40pm placed our order and the young lady was nice! I’m vegan so I ordered the impossible burger with NO CHEESE & NO SAUCE. I also asked to change the spicy tomato for a regular tomato she said no problem. Our kids got chicken tenders & regular burgers and my husband did as well with fries. She said it would be 20 mins (8:00pm) we said fine so we walked around and came back right at the 20 minute mark. A family that was there before us was still waiting and said they were there since 7:00pm. Once they finally got their order we still waited for another 30 mins and finally got our food. We checked the bag to make sure everyone got their food and they had everything marked so it made it somewhat easy. The manager came and apologized but that’s all she did…..apologies don’t really matter when you have antsy hungry children and we were going to eat then go see a movie. We missed the movie because we waited almost an hour for our food but all the manager said sorry. We get to our truck and I taste a fry and it’s COLD. We waited for 50 mins for room temp/cold food! Then I open my impossible burger that I requested no cheese, no wahl sauce and no spicy tomato just regular tomato…..it had it all on there, everything I asked NOT to be on there! See pictures! Super disappointed, my family ate their cold food and I’m just writing this review and trying to figure out what else I can order for myself. Total for our to-go order was $96.06…definitely not worth it and wish I had gone with my gut and got a refund when the first family was...
