I just visited this location and had a memoribly bad experience. I will start with the good. We enjoyed the beer. Especially the lacto-cooler. If I ever were to visit Voodoo again, it would be solely for this beer. My fiance ordered the wings, I had one, was quite good. The beer Mac and cheese was also quite good, The bad. My food experience. I ordered the not a Philly cheese steak, and they were right, it wasn't and should not be called a Philly cheese steak, it had one flavor and that was burnt. The issue seemed to be the fire roasted peppers gave everything and extremely burnt flavor. I tried to pull out the most burnt parts but it made a marginal difference. Besides being burnt, there was no other flavor, the meat and everything else was bland. The staff kept asking how everything was, and I was honest that I was not enjoying the sandwich. I decided to order something different and ordered the three little pigs pizza. It was better, the crust was flavorful, and the toppings good, but the cheese on top was barely melted and not browned at all. I would compare it closely to a gas station pizza. Not even up to par with Sam's club, Costco or national chain pizza. Back to the staff asking how things were. I will say they were all very polite. I never asked for accommodations, rather let the restaurant decide how they handle things, but was honest when they asked how things were. First they kept saying they would talk to the kitchen, but never came back. After I ordered the pizza and they asked about the sandwich again, they said "I'll see what I can do". Nothing came of that either, so I asked about it as I was leaving, and the staff member said they asked but they were told that's how it was supposed to be. That was very disappointing. I'm sorry, but when a customer stops eating a sandwich after 3 bites and gives active feedback it was not good and orders and pays for something else, it is hubrus on the part of management to say that the sandwich was fine. Considering how management handled things, I will likely not be back here, as money was wasted on something I couldn't willingly eat. The beer was okay, and I really enjoyed lacto-cooler, but I would never get food from here again. YMMV but I'd get drinks from here and get food from somewhere else, except maybe the wings. Staff was very nice, but management is a problem in not having any desire to improve customer experience when things are unsatisfactory. 2 stars given because I like the beer, otherwise a 1...
Read moreNice atmosphere when we walked in. Looks like a lot of cool beer options. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere, as it wasn’t busy during the off season. We were told to use the QR code to order and then they will bring us our items. Drink options include Coke, beers, cocktails however, water (other than sparkling) was not on the menu. No problem, I’d just ask for that on my own.
Cokes were brought to our table. They were a bottled brand we have never heard of and tasted awful. If it was listed on the menu that it was not a Coca Cola/pepsi brand we would have not expected regular soda and ordered differently. When we asked for water, We were told it was self service. Still no problem. We got up and got our water. Tasted awful, straight from the tap - no ice. At this point myself and entire party were put off. It had been less than 5 minutes since we entered our digital order. I politely asked if we could just cancel the order, which I was told was “already cooking.” We had to ask for ice which was brought to us but didn’t help with the taste of the water. We ordered three cheeseburgers and two pizzas. Burgers were satisfactory. Pizzas were not great. My daughter ordered hers with pepperoni and sliced tomato and it was served with super thick slices of tomato. Throughout our time there one of the employees young children was sitting a high chair adjacent from the bar and given a tablet to play on. He was off and on screaming the entire time. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for welcoming service. Other food items may be better than what we ordered based on the other reviews I see. It may be good to get a drink and enjoy the patio, but not if you are looking for friendly service and interaction with...
Read moreWent here while visiting the boardwalk because one person in the group just haaaaad to have a beer. I'm not a beer person at all, so I can't really speak to any of their offerings there. I mean... it is a brewery after all, so I suppose it would have a little something for everyone. However, I am a foodie and also try to keep my ratings inclusive of all things, which also means service. Walked in and was promptly greeted, was told to seat ourselves and order via the QR menu. Place was pretty dead inside, maybe a few occupied tables. Saw 3 people working between the bar and the back. Was expecting at least someone to come and ask about drinks, water, questions, etc. We placed orders after about 10 minutes, went to the bar to ask about water. Guy dropped off a pitcher and some cups, off they went never to be seen again. Someone else came and said the food would be coming out, but it would be sporadic, and so it was. Had to ask for more utensils, as I guess this isn't a part of the standard service either. The salad I got was decent, but the uncooked brussel sprouts were weird and could have been so much better. Didn't see it specify that the brussels wouldn't be cooked, as the description just read "shaved brussel sprouts". You would think at least they would be roasted, or at least that's what I had hoped. The chicken added on was dry as petrified wood and chewy like beef jerky. Prices were kind of steep for the portions. Had a bite of the bar pretzel, it was good. Another party member liked their burger. Another party member liked their mediterranean salad. No follow-up during the meal if we needed anything. Weird vibes. Overall, maybe stick to this place if you only plan on drinking and...
