Maggie D's Italian restaurant is an absolute culinary treasure, and it's not just the food that shines but also the outstanding service provided by the owner, John, and the exceptional skills of the bartender, Cynthia. My recent dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by John himself, who exudes a passion for his restaurant that's infectious. He took the time to chat with each guest, making everyone feel like part of the Maggie D's family.
Cynthia, the bartender, is a true master of her craft. Her skill in concocting cocktails is second to none, and she takes pride in creating custom drinks that perfectly complement the meal. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our evening even more enjoyable.
And let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of extraordinary! Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the presentation was impeccable. Maggie D's has a way of transforming traditional Italian dishes into unforgettable culinary experiences.
One dish that left a lasting impression was the lasagna; it was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, and you could taste the love and dedication that went into its preparation.
The ambiance at Maggie D's is cozy and inviting, with dimmed lighting and Italian music setting the mood just right. The decor adds to the charm, and it's evident that every detail has been carefully thought out to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The exceptional food, combined with the outstanding service from both John and Cynthia, makes Maggie D's a must-visit. They have truly perfected the art of Italian cuisine and the art of creating memorable dining experiences. If you're a lover of great food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere, Maggie D's Italian restaurant is an absolute gem that you won't...
Read moreI would not recommend that you spend your hard earned money at this establishment as the owner is rude, arrogant and doesn't value his guests. The sangria wine tasted like vinegar, the eggplant app would have been ok had the temperature been hot (barely warm), the meatball is a ball of ground beef with no flavor and the sauce was below average. My linguine with white clam sauce was terrible- canned minced clams with butter and garlic with a hand full of over cooked fresh clams on top -lemon wedges within the pasta?! I took a bite and returned the plate. The owner-John came over with a defensive and loud approach about how busy his restaurant is and no one else had a problem with his food. That was rude but left it alone-just wanted to leave. I received the bill to find an unexplained open charge of $8. We asked for him to return to the table and when we asked about the charge I was told in a loud and rude fashion that I sat at his table, ate his salad and bread so he gave me half off of the $16 meal and argued that the sangria wine was just fine. He literally went to the bar to prove me wrong by pouring some sangria wine (a cheap quality bottle of wine called Sangia please do not subject yourself to it) and told me it was fine. I refused to pay the $8 and he took it off however was loud and rude through out the process. Such disrespect is intolerable in a town full of restaurateurs who take pride in pleasing their guests and making it right. John a simple I am sorry and an adjustment would have sufficed to save everyone in your establishment from your rude behavior. #thatsnotitalian #maggid's...
Read moreUPDATED Was here in early spring and thought Good bread, lunch menu prices, soups & sandwiches. Returned late july for dinner and not impressed. Had bowl of Wedding soup mostly broth only 4 little meatballs barely any pasta. GREEN BEANS appetizer stated light coating, fried and sprinkled with asiago cheese instead served pre frozen coated deep fried green beans served with ranch dressing (thought olio sauce), Chicken Puttanesca tasted and looked more like Chicken Piccata with some capers, mushrooms, red peppers, lots of onions in a clear broth like sauce, with chunks of tough fatty pancetta. Puttanesca was not done alla Napolitano with red sauce or Kalamata/Taggiasche & Green Cerignola/ Castelvetrano olives (instead it contained black canned & green with stuffed with pimentos). They said sauce could not be done fra diavolo or piccante because that's the sauce they have. Service was extremely slow, for just an app, soup, & entree served at same time (table of 2 next to me served salad, entree, and dessert in the same time period). Then upon leaving given leftover in styrofoam box and not placed into bag. It was so full (i was not aware) with leftover broth sauce it leaked out all over console of car. Needless to say "not happy". Also, it was noticeable the owner (who was sitting at the bar area) getting up and speaking to guests at other tables around us and asking if everything was ok or saying goodnight and he never approached us. Very sad to be so disappointed we really had a great lunch the first time and reccomended to alot of people we met. Maybe best to keep a lunch...
