This was our first time visiting J & K Home Furnishings at the Oak Forest Lane, Myrtle Beach location as we are new to the area. We were greeted by Jessica Kern who is an interior designer. This was perfect for us as we have a full dining room set that we wanted to coordinate living room furniture to go with the existing colors that we have. Included in our existing furniture are two antique living room chairs. Jess immediately took us to the traditional furniture section and began giving us some suggestions. We were interested in purchasing a sofa, love seat and chair with ottoman. I brought fabric swatches of our existing furniture and Jess did a fantastic job of coordinating fabrics and styles to go with what we have. Poor service and communication. Our $3K mattress was not initially delivered but we received a loaner. Which was a huge help. We later learned that a medical issue was the cause for the delay. (We were understanding and sympathetic) HOWEVER we were assured it would be delivered this Saturday. Guess what? Sunday we have no new mattress. Outreached to sales person - more excuses. The sales staff was busy so instead of having us wait the store buyer, John Hanna waited on us right away. We found the recliner we wanted which was right at the front of the store. John did all the paper work and worked out the delivery details. After we left the store we went back and asked him about sofa sleepers, He continued to help us, giving us more information about possible future buys we may be interested in.
