Island Coffee on Nantucket was such a great little find. We stopped in during our trip and were really impressed, especially with the smoothies. I’ve had a lot of smoothies from different places, and I have to say—these were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were super thick, really well blended, and tasted incredibly fresh. You could tell they used real fruit and quality ingredients, not just ice and sugar like some other places. The consistency was perfect—not too watery, not too icy—just smooth and creamy with a great texture that held up even after sitting for a bit. I got one of the berry-based blends, and it was packed with flavor. It tasted natural and refreshing, without being overly sweet. It honestly felt like something that could be a meal on its own. Everyone else in my group tried different flavors and said the same thing—they were all just really well done. The coffee shop itself had a cozy, relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of spot where you could grab something to go, but also feel comfortable sitting down for a bit and enjoying your drink. The staff was friendly and patient, and they seemed to really know the menu and make everything with care. Even though it was busy when we visited, the line moved quickly and they kept things organized behind the counter. They also had a nice selection of other drinks and snacks, but the smoothies definitely stood out the most to me. On a warm Nantucket day, it was the perfect stop—cooling, satisfying, and full of flavor. It’s clear they take pride in what they serve, and it makes a big difference. Overall, Island Coffee is a great little spot if you’re looking for something quick, fresh, and delicious while you’re on the island. Whether you’re a smoothie lover or just need something to cool you down between beach stops, I’d highly recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be going back next time...

This place is so well located they wouldn't even have to make an effort and they'd still probably make money. Instead, I watched the workers greet every single customer (and there were hoards of them) with energy and positivity. We ordered the PB+C smoothies (with protein), which were huge and incredibly delicious. It took a little bit more time than we expected, but every employee was working as fast as they could. Walked in this morning 12/19 around 11 am to get a coffee. As I waited for the lady in the back I was reading over the menu. She walked up and said “when you know what you want let me know.. then walked away and said (or not)” very loud and rude.

My apologies for walking into your store and reading your menu.

Highly NOT recommend. Went to 3 other coffee shops in town that were amazing and treated the customers with warm hospitality. “Roasted general store” was my favorite AND HIGHLY recommend.
