I don't do a lot of reviews, but I had to review this place. I will start off positive, the staff is super friendly. Now to the bad stuff. Me and the wife both had a large coffee and chicken and waffles. The coffee was either burnt or burnt. I asked for cream and sugar, for barely any cream and stevia. Stevia, if I wanted that I'd have asked for it. Too late when its already in the coffee. It made the burnt coffee taste even worse. Threw it away. The chicken and waffles showed up the the table covered in flowers, why? The waffles were cold and hard and the tiny bit of syrup we got was refrigerator cold. The fried chicken batter was hard as a rock almost like it was covered in oatmeal cookie batter instead of chicken batter. It was hot, but not as hot as fried chicken out of the fryer should be. So I really question how it was cooked. Couple bites of both the waffle and chicken and threw it out. The chicken and waffles plate was $18 plus coffee and tip. We completely waisted $50 on a meal that was just tossed out. It was like cafeteria food with flowers all over it I had to pick off. Thanks for waisting my money, my time and my faith in being able to go have breakfast and enjoy it. Seems like they put on a smile and serve up some frozen microwave food and charge a arm and a leg for it. Y'all...
Read moreThis is sad, because this place used to be amazing. We went here Saturday morning, ordered the pancake (the first mistake) and the protein bowl (which was actually delicious and I wish we could have eaten it all) Sent the pancake back because it was soaked in grease and inedible in my opinion. Not a pancake, call it something else because its misleading, and the only sweet breakfast option they have. They said they would refund it, and they did not. The refund never came through on our end. THEN when we were up taking care of that, one of the waitresses took our 1/2 full protein bowl away and into the back. So we paid $50 for three bites of breakfast. When I asked the waitress if she took the food she said yeah "there were only a couple of bites left". For starers, theres only a couple of bites all together on the protein plate, and you NEVER EVER take food away from guests without asking them first. She then gave us a cookie to try and make up for it, when I already bought a cookie to replace the terrible pancake. Terrible service, attitudes everywhere, and very upset that we walked out of there hungrier and angrier than when...
Read moreTwo issues the owner could fix, two perks: No Wi-Fi. I bring my boyfriend who need to work on his laptop with me to cafes around town so we had to leave and not order anything. Normally I just draw. Why have such a big front of house if people aren’t really meant to linger? Lattes are eh. I’m a barista and I feel like the cardamom is a great decision, but some baristas are better than others, but none can make like a reeeally good latte. And the flavors besides cardamom are kinda eh. Pretentious menu. With garnish that’s too presentation focused to eat easily.
Perks? Amaaaaaazing customer service. Despite all my issues with the food and drinks and Wi-Fi, I only come back cause they’re all super amazing and nice. It’s so spacious !!! I hate downtown cafes where someone is just talking in my ear about politics and the stock market or who is in rehab or oh my god the grapes are doing so well this year. Hate it. Go here if you...
