Congratulations to THE FINK for winning Best Bar in Napa from the Napa Valley Register newspaper! It is very much deserved. The food is good. The drinks are great! The service is even better! My partner and I visited The Fink this past weekend for a comedy show. The place was PACKED, but the staff never looked annoyed or nervous or overwhelmed. They were absolute pros and the service was GREAT! Some of the best in Napa. The service was SOOOO good from everyone we encountered, that we were still talking about how great it was a couple days later.
Service in Napa can be a crapshoot. We're known for our great restaurants but because of the high cost of living, the talent pool for service is not great. Places will likely hire anyone off the street, and a lot of places have really bad service. BUT NOT THE FINK. It was so dang impressive just how great everyone was from the top to the bottom. Whatever they are doing there... They're doing it right. I look forward to our...
Read moreIt finally happened. After months and months of online build up The Fink is now open in what was the Silo's space in the Napa Mill. It's the brainchild of Judd Finkelstein and his Maestro of Beverages, Andrew Salazar, and their merry band of supporters.
The space has been completely renovated and remodeled so that the bar is the centre piece of the space. As you step into space you're taken to a different place. I'll let you decide where it is, but it's definitely not Napa.
Seating options include at the bar, at high-tops and in the sexy looking booths. Lots of options whether you're traveling alone or with a group.
The cocktail menu is inspiring with riff's on classic and some great cocktails dreamt up by Andrew to tempt you. Small bites, to follow soon, round out the experience and offer a mini world tour on a plate.
And for you music lovers who hark back to the days of Silo's and Jazz there is still a small space for acoustic music with details on that...
Read moreSo disappointed. The drink was good, but it took over 25 minutes to get service and order while we sat at a dirty table. We were being patient as it was busy and it appeared like there was only 1 waitress to serve everyone (completely understaffed for a BUSY Saturday night). When we ordered our drinks we also ordered some foods. Waited another 10 minutes for our drinks... and as we patiently waited for our food, no one ever came by again and our food never arrived. We ended up having to walk by the door and tell them to charge us for the 2 drinks. We were hungry and frustrated and they seemed bothered that we walked up to pay. The ambiance of the place was nice but everyone was getting bad service. Music was awful. This place could be making a fortune and is losing business from terrible operations in their service. Bad first impression, and I was hoping to love this place as a Napa local. Local or not, no one deserves such an awful...
