Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Naperville

Tried the food here since I heard it was halaal, and I verbally confirmed with the staff if the meat was halaal and they said it was, but upon further reflection I am doubtful if the meat really is halaal or not, for the following reasons:

Supposedly they have both halaal and non-halaal meat, but why would you go through the trouble of sourcing both? Most places that serve halaal meat do so exclusively.

They have a halaal certificate on display (see photo), but it only mentions poultry specifically. No mention of beef or lamb. I also didn't notice until reviewing the photo just now, but the certificate was also expired.

Right next to the framed halaal certificate, they had a framed photo of what appeared to be a Yogi, which means they are probably Hindus. Hindus do not eat or sell beef because they believe cows are sacred, so why would they go through the trouble of serving halaal beef pepperoni?

I could be wrong, but it seems likely that they are being dishonest about the halaal meat in order to deceive the Muslim customer base that's right across the street at the Islamic Center. If I am wrong then I will edit my review accordingly, but for now I would advise Muslims not...

I recently visited this restaurant a few days ago and placed an order for pizza around 8:32 PM, with the intention of enjoying a nice dine-in experience while waiting for my friend to arrive. However, I was repeatedly approached by three different staff members who insisted that I take the pizza to go. I completely understand that it was their closing time, but it was unnecessary for multiple staff members to approach me repeatedly with the same request.

My friend hadn’t even arrived yet, and I had invited them here for the first time because I was genuinely impressed with this place. I had planned to order more food, and we might have even left before 9 PM. If only they had allowed my friend to come in and sit for a few minutes, it would have made a difference. Instead, the constant reminders frustrated me so much that I had no choice but to cancel my order. Although I received a refund, the excitement of enjoying a meal and meeting my friend was completely ruined.

I was considering trying pizza twist, especially this location. But after hearing my friends recent experience I wouldn't consider going here anymore. The dining experience was extremely disappointing and traumatizing for my friends when they discovered a cockroach in one of the dishes, which completely ruined appetite and left us feeling disgusted and concerned about the restaurant's hygiene standards. As vegetarians, we place a great deal of importance on the quality and cleanliness of the ingredients used in our food. Discovering a cockroach in a vegetarian dish is not only unsettling but also raises serious questions about the restaurant's overall cleanliness and food handling practices. Hope that the restaurant management takes this matter seriously, thoroughly investigates the incident, and implements strict measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
